So, yeah.  I realize this is a VERY old thread, but I am having issues finding a burner that will burn at a slow rate.  I used to have one, BUT..  threw it out about a year ago.  yeah..  dumbass..  Anyway, my ordeal is this.  My Duo will play CDr games that I have burned, cuz I have tried it on the games I burned a few years ago.  Plays em fine.  My thing is this, until I can get certain games, such as Might and Magic III, at a decent price, I am going to play them the cheaper way.  However, my current drive  will not support lower than 10x and it is causing issues with my Duo..  Doesnt like them one damn bit.  So, any help on getting a burner that will support slower burns would be appreciated.

Slower is not always better.  Try a different brand of discs.  Try the slowest speed available on a modern drive and work your way up until you find one that works.  If the system doesn't like x10, try x12 or x16 or x24.

Things like this aren't, AFAIK, being made and haven't been in over a decade. I've never owned a CDR drive that would go slower than 4x and yet I've never had an issue. Try different CDs.
