Rock on: Any ideas ?

I keep getting looped in the second level. Am I suposed to destroy that red ball ? Because it doesn't seem to take much damage.

Use the Lock-on weapon to destroy the red ball.

I beat it, thanks Runin.

Btw I had to kill myself on the second boss to get the crack weapon, because the regular one nor the 8 way seemed to kill it. Or maybe it was just me never hitting the under side of the blue bastard corectly.
