I don't care about any sort of remakes or clones (though I'll buy anything Arkhan churns out). What I'd love to see are more original games. Action/platformers/shmups, etc.

Mario Bros for sure....

Joust 2 PC Engine! :D

Already doing that.

Duhhhh. Winning.

Pitfall isn't really that complex and neither is Pitfall 2.

and, as for Qix, we've got VolfieV.  :)

How about Journey Escape from Atari 2600.

yeah.

How about Journey Escape from Atari 2600.

The chip tunes were kinda cool, except for 'em looping in four seconds.

Black Tiger would rock, but, I think that's beyond the scope of the games he's porting.  I'm pretty sure he already made his final decisions quite some time ago.  Though, I think one of my suggestions didn't end up getting picked up, Venture!  I love running around as a giant happy face with a bow & arrow :D

What is the scope? Only games from the 80's/Atari, that type of look?

>>What? No support for Dig Dug? How about Qix, or Q-bert? Or even the original Mario Brothers (not Super at all).<<

Absolutely, positively support this with all my heart and soul.  (That means I like it)

Pre video game crash games:

AKA:

everything before Famicom/NES.

Except for C64.  f*ck that noise.

I thought about doing Combat and Pitfall II... both are pretty easy. I also thought about doing River Raid, but that was a very cleverly coded game for its time.

Atari 5200 Pitfall 2 > Super Mario Bros.

Yeah, I said it!

...though I have to say I am somewhat dismayed no one seconded my KC Crazy Chase (best maze game that isn't Ms. Pacman) and Keystone Caper (escalators are good...  but bad!)

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

Activision got all the good weed back in the day, I think.

all their games are mind bogglingly clever code wise.

I remember enjoying a couple of the Mr. Do entries back in the day. They reminded me a little of Dig Dug while also being significantly different.
