Arcade Pitfall: .

I don't remember ever seeing it anywhere, but apparently the first level is like the original Pitfall, the second level is like Pitfall 2, and the remaining levels were original.

How about a 5 player version of Sega's "Quartet"? You could call it "Quintet", "Cinco de Sega", or "Fab Force Five". Just don't leave out the token black guy!

Hells yes. Problem is, the original already had an awesome Van Halen-style synth loop. How can that be topped on the PCE?

I could top that shit!  This is the PCE duder.  But Quartet is so large that it would be a good standalone game.  The point of variety packing this is to give you more bang for your buck without giving us more delays for your buck.  lol

I didn't realize that these suggestions were for a variety pack. I'd still like to see what Arkhan could do with Quartet if it was a stand alone game. On a side note, I was just listening to a MIDI file of the music from the game yesterday.

I had a thought.  To help update these retrocade games, maybe you could include elements of similar games for the same era. 

For instance, in Atlantean, maybe there's a way you could mix in some Dolphin, maybe as some kind of bonus challeng if you meet the right criteria.  Also could mix elements of Sea Quest(I think that's what it was called?). 

For Jungle Hunt, mix in some elements of the Pitfalls.  I've always loved Jungle Hunt, but, at the same time, it gets kinda old, since it's level based.  I think there are 4 levels in it, once you beat those, it just repeats with a higher difficulty.  Perhaps make it more like an open world that has these challenge part with nothing but vine swining or swimming & fighting aligator's, etc.

IF you did Venture, you could maybe .....include elements of Food Fight! :D  Bare with me now, maybe when you enter rooms, there could be things in those rooms that you can throw, that has various effects on the enemies, freezes them, slows there speed, confuse, etc.  However, maybe they could also use those against you.  And then finally, you get to eat a giant ice cream(not really, but, something could be captured to progress you to a new level).

Just food for though, I think you already have Pyramid Plunder down pat, & I can't think of anything to add to the ramp, I don't recall what other games  you were going to do other then the Insanity death match.

I mix up Sinistar and Sinistron all the time now.

That's funny, I mix up Sinistron and Paranoia all the time.  They're just too damn similar.

They are similar in how much I suck at them. Paranoia is prettier and has better music, IMO.

I think Paranoia is a better game in general than Sinistron.  I blame the wack as f*ck style of the game to be honest.

If the game didnt present itself like it does, it wouldn't be that great though.

Indeed, Nat. I had Sinistron for many years. While I found the "jaws" mechanic to be rather neat, the graphics were unimpressive and the music grated on my nerves quite a bit.
