On this page you can view a bunch of forum stats, including # of posts, by month, since the forum software was changed in November 2006 and everything was reset. 2011 has been the busiest year since late 2007/early 2008. We slowed way down between then and now after a bunch of long-time members left and before the surge of here-today gone-tomorrow folks started showing up.

that 85% NEW thread is great. I read about 85% of it and was gutted when I learned that the tap never turned up!

One other thing of note with regards to the background is that a large number of people used something called the "Turbo list" which was run by BT. Garner.

Woah, Dan knew the "Ironman" on our hi-ten B-man conversation at VGS and now the "list"...this guy is a library! I forget everything, all the time. I need a TurboBooster for my brain!

Heh, I remember seeing the "Iron Man" being demoed at TTI's booth at the 1992 or 1993 Summer CES with some flight sim that never came out. We're going WAAAY back in time for that one. But yeah, I have a strange almost encyclopedic knowledge of certain parts of gaming history.

Some people, such as myself, have been gaming turbo style for many years, but didn't know about these forums till recently. I post once in a blue moon (busy lifestyle), but I'm not a here today, gone tomorrow type. I love this forum and see no reason to wanna leave any time soon. Seems like every new comer has a problem "fitting in", but that is understandable with the crackheads that seem to come and go all the time. Not before trying to get stuff for free or causing trouble of course. I'm not a well known, or well respected, member and likely never will be due to my lack of participation  8-[, but those that I've had the privilege of communicating with on here have all been very friendly and respectable people. Those I have yet to touch face with also are very nice and helpful individuals. A few individuals you will see really stick out,(looking at you beamer! :D) due to their overall devotion to this wonderful board, the awesome system that is the PC Engine/Turbo Grafx 16, and to everyone that frequents this board. Hat is off to you gents! Anyway, I too would like to welcome you aboard sleepy and hope you enjoy your stay. Just remember one golden rule. Respect others and they will respect you.   Ok, I've brown nosed enough, later chaps!

EDIT: I know I've very late to the welcoming committee, but I don't read this sub forum very often and miss things, besides, better late than never...
