Emailing them with these huge issues won't get anything done. Like others have said, actively calling them--speaking to an actual person--is the only way to go. Are we all this afraid of verbal communication here? I mean really.

Hopefully, if we send them a Duo to test the game, they don't send us a Genesis back.

They have communicated verbally several times. With a mess up this bad they should have been the ones calling.

I have given my wife all the relevant details. She will be calling them shortly and we will get this shit resolved.

Too many chefs. Involving more people will confuse them, allow them to exploit the situation by telling different people different things, or make FU look disorganized. They need to know that the person they've been talking to - Keranu - has authority and will be on their ass until this is sorted out.

Keranu does not have the time, nor the technical expertise, to fully deal with this. My wife has both.

My wife was able to bypass their trained monkeys in customer service and go straight to the techs, who all had a good laugh at some of the bullshit Brian has told Keranu. A new stamper will be produced on Friday, and the check disc will be sent out in about a week. Keranu should have it sometime in early August. They cited one minor index issue still remains with the existing master, and I'm going to try to get more specific details on that so it can be ironed out in case... plus, it may help to refine TheOldMan's cuesheet utility.

Keep in mind, most of what Brian says is parroted back from testers and tech people... ,

this is good news though.   They say anything interesting about repressing the wrong game?  :)

Wow I don't know how your wife was able to talk to the tech team, Brian seemed to avoid the idea completely whenever I asked if I could get in touch with them. Must be that spicy Latin blood in your wife's DNA! Good thing she called now because I'm going to be out of town this week and wouldn't be able to call on Friday.

I'm still confused as to why they pressed Insanity to a check disc...

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

She doesn't f*ck around. Elsie is the kind of woman you just don't say no to when it comes to stuff like this... her particular brand of assertive attitude will crush those of weak minds and she will get the results we need. That's why I had her do it, rather than me... I would have been coarse and demanding, which doesn't always translate into favorable results.

In fact, it was Brian himself who gave her the contact information for the tech team... he wanted to get her off the phone as quickly as possible.

Honey does often work better than vinegar, but some people have this way of introducing a little hot sauce into the honey so that you get the best of both.
