I think "finished" in the sense of this game means that you might have a copy in your hands in the next six months to a year. MSR has its own language.

Maybe it's only 85% finished and they're waiting until it's 90% finished before they can release it.

Exactly ;)

Don't worry, I'm confident that a tangible item will ship within five years.

Personally, I don't mind waiting. ;)

It really is just the final revision of the Spanish text that is left to update.

Here is what the final cover art looks like.

Love the cover art! I did notice that you don't have a Frozen Utopia logo anywhere; deliberate, or mistake? I think it could easily be put in the lower right corner. Without it, something just feels kinda off, like something's missing. I think it's because game companies almost always puts their logo on the cover.

Just a thought.

I think the title logo needs to be a bit bigger.

I thought the same thing until I looked at a couple hundred PCE games. I took into account the composition when covers did and didn't incorporate company logos. If the character art collaged within CD cover dimesions more like I had originally expected, the MS logo would be in the middle and the FU logo would be at the bottom, like it is in the rough mockup I made. I tried putting in the FU logo, but it looks forced and un-PCE cover-like. It would look more in line if this were a modern game cover in which spamming logos is more important than the artwork.

The Frozen Utopia logo is on the back and is balanced in line with similar PCE game packaging.

The MS logo is already bigger than most PCE game cover logos and I actually had to do my best to keep it that large while balanced with the art.

Any update on the project?

AFAIK, we're still waiting for the finishing of some tweaking of the Spanish script, so no, no news yet sadly. :(

Just google translate that shit yo :-p

You might need to move the CD Rom logo in a bit, it's very close to the cut edge. If you're having these digitally printed, you stand a good chance of it being chopped into if it stays that close.

If the manufacturer says that their printing isn't very accurate, then I'll reposition them. For now, they're exactly where they appear on PCE games.

B_T: sorry to bug you. I love the cover you designed. I know you didn't solicit for any comments/suggestions, so forgive me!

IMHO, the only thing I would tweak is the title "Mysterious Song"—it does not clearly stand out from the images. Possible solutions? I think that stroke (outside, black, a few pixels larger than currently shown) might do the trick. It would ruin the nice thin black line outline, though, but the alternatives (like a subtle semi-sharp shadow) may not fit the aesthetic style you were going for.

And/or...shrink the title put it off-center.

I'll stop with the unsolicited comments. I just wanted to give my 2 rubles of advice. Don't hate me! I love all your work ;)

The games already done in 2 languages, so, as far as I'm concerned, it's done & ready to go out the door.  All I need is some basic english to get by.  When I go out to eat, I just say "I need ham, 1 ham please!  Please be giving the ham to eating the ham!"
