I just checked out http://www.frozenutopia.com and Neutopia 3 was on the projects page, will that game be released any time soon, Neutopia is one of my favourite games and would love a third part to it.

I'm curious about N3 as well.  I'm distraught to see it's not listed on Obeybrew.

Neutopia III is a massive project that is going to take thousands of hours of work. It's on the backburner right now because it's so huge... we have a few other games lined up before we get to it. Also, the guy who we took on to help out with it just suddenly disappeared out of the blue.

There is some solid tile work done on Neutopia III and every-now-and-then I check in on them and touch them up or try and work on some new tiles. But, as Nod said, this will be a MASSIVE project.

They're both lying, we're releasing it tomorrow!!!!  Surprise!  No, but seriously, yeah, what Nod said.  There's bunch of tile & sprite work, as well as a slew of songs for it already.  However, atleast in my regard, any song that I feel I finished for it, I now want to touch up, as I feel my skills have improved since we originally started the project.  And other songs just need to be fleshed out in general, along with the songs that I hadn't started yet.  Also, when the time comes, I'd like to have real guitar's wailing in various spots, but my original guy, Jevax, ain't gonna be doing it.  It seemed like Nate of Vodkatron was interested, but I think he's been having alot of real life stuff going on.  Ofcoarse, that doesn't mean he won't be available by the time we go full steam on this one!

As cool as all the current homebrew projects are looking (and they all certainly are), Neutopia 3 is the one I'm the most excited about; admittedly out of nostalgia.

That being said, I'm geared up for Mysterious Song. I even bought an extension cable for my Duo specifically so I can get cozy in my chair and play it.
Games I Need: Bonk 3 (HuCard), Legend of Hero Tonma, Magical Chase, Soldier Blade, Super Air Zonk.

Got one to sell? PM me!

No one really knows about Valkyrie Midnight yet. Shhhhh... :) lol

No, it's a CD game... it's too large for hucard. The game world is several times the size of Neutopia II's, and you're not limited to just one main character... you have a choice of four different characters to play as, and each one has their own unique story and side-quests. The basic gameplay mechanics remain intact, but enemies are smarter (especially bosses), the storyline is deeper and more involved (and notably darker too), and now there are free-scrolling areas a la LttP.

Not to mention cd music not unlike what Hudson did for Dungeon Explorer 2(not that my stuff is as good, but, in the same vein) & we plan to have cinemas(once again, think DE2, though, it would be a different style of art obviously).

I suspect that producing Neutopia 3 is likely to lead to a lawsuit, or at least a request from lawyers that may mean you'll have to destroy anything you make.  Neutopia is a trademark, and since the Neutopia games are sold on the Wii Virtual Console the trademark is still in active use.
