Just tell them to try and write it as an audio disc, and send a test copy back to you.
The problem is, prior discs wouldn't make it through the cutter phase. And if we request a proof disc, it's a few extra hundred bucks.

I responded reassuring the CD is supposed to be formatted that way and it's expected for the audio tracks to play when inserted into a PC or stereo. We should be able to find out if there are any replication errors next week.
Did you include any kind of letter of explanation with the new masters? It seems like you're hitting a huge communication breakdown and trying to reinvent the wheel everytime you contact them. Any correspondence with these guys should include a lengthy introduction/FAQ with plenty of quotes and history of what's gone before.
If we ever have to send in more masters, we'll definitely be attaching a forewarning note!

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

I hope that when they finally get it right they remember for your future game releases and not have to go through this every single time

Really does sound like one of those instances where you just have to pick up the phone and talk to someone instead of same email going back & forth...

I'm hopeful this gets through, obviously it playing audio beforehand is a good sign. It sounds like this is a good image and has simply just managed to confound nationwide disc.

I wonder if that's where Insanity benefited.    I talked on the phone for alot of this stuff.

Most likely, yes.

Keranu emailed Nationwide already but no response yet. This waiting bit is ridiculous.

So, is email your primary means of communication with them? Is there a reason the telephone has been neglected?

Ask Keranu... he's in charge of all of this. They won't deal with Puerto Rico, so I had to hand it over to him.

I tried sending them another email a couple days ago because that usually gets them talking, but still no email. I have Fridays off work now so I'm going to try giving them a call tomorrow.
