I know for sure the Plextor 12x does Cosmic Fantasy 2,depending on what your using to read and burn it off with,i.e. Clone Cd,Alcohol 120,Blindread/blindewrite,CD-R Win....
Samsung 32x burners and above do fine.
Also not common, but will copy and burn Cosmic Fantasy 2 is a NEC 12 X burner. The are not many revisions of the speed, usually if they make a new revision, its because of a speed change. The Nec will out do athe Plextor on some things also, but will no tlast as long as Plextor. But if your a Linux freak,Plextor will make it very hard for you to get your burner going,so be warned!!!

Also only use Long Strategy cd-rs,made in Japan, and not crap C&C MicroMagnetics short strats.Any crap coming from China and Taiwan is to be avoided.Check the cd-r package people.Fuji Film spindles are mostly good, but check first, and Maxell PRO CD-Rs and great!!!

I use Nero or Alcohol to burn...mainly Nero since Alcohol can abort sometimes due to misread.
Never have burned with CDRWIN but I have it as well as clone CD and Blindwrite...which is best for Turbo Duo games? And for a real Duo-R system, not Magic Engine. (Some of my burns work in Magic Engine but not on the Duo R)
If I could see a link to any of these burners you mentioned at NewEgg Michael...I would buy it.

Actually, lemme give you a couple and you can(or someone) let me know if they will work for what I need:

I never played cd games on Magic Engine.I dont like that emu much.
The software you use will work better on some drives and worse on others.Plextor is your most expensive but best bet.It doesnt really matter what make like I said, just choose the one that you want speed wsie. They all burn at 2x either way.

Michael...
Will that Samsung work?
Or can I have the model # of the one you use since it seems to burn Turbo CD games fine (even Cosmic Fantasy)
The Samsung sounds like a good idea...that one in the link or your model....
Thanks!

New burners will do 2x fine. You have to choose the speed you desire in the program you are using.Side note,if your going to burn at 2x,read it at 2x too.Its best to stick to the same read speeds as possible as the burn speed.slower read speed allows better buffer usage too.

Unless ur like me running a gig of ddr ram.If you run using a gig of ram in your pc,buffer is no longer a issue in cd burning.

That pretty much looks fine. You have to realize, the old drives of 8 x and below sucked.About anything new these days that is brand name.Avoid mad dog and oither generics. They suck.
