I was actually gonna look into tinkering with it to see if I can fix it. Perhaps cut out the torn spot and somehow adhere a good pad in its place. I still have my turbopad that is busted, perhaps I can sacrifice it to fix a still good one. It's a Hori FC PC pad and was very looking forward to having it. I'll get it working.

it's more expensive, yes, but it will work with just about any console you want, if you do it right

Just a minor update hoobs, I was able to mend the rubber pad with some epoxy around the tear at work last night. It is likely a temporary fix, but placed the pad under the V button since it isn't abused like the I button. I stress tested it early this morning with some SF2 goodness and it held up well.
