Ghost Manor and Night Creatures both fall into the same category for me: games with really nice presentation whose gameplay is dogshit. This is all just my personal opinion. If you like the game, I don't mean to offend.

And...let the flaming begin! ;)
The gameplay in Ghost Manor is quick, responsive, and intuitive--a world apart from Night Creatures.  Frustration sets in because the level design on stage 2, coupled with the insanely-vicious difficultly, can make things repetitive.  Still, the contempt for Ghost Manor is strange because people thrive on the challenge of getting knocked back, killed, and restarting the level a million times when playing side-scrolling games like Ninja Gaiden and Ghouls and Ghosts.  Ghost Manor isn't much different, only less-linear.

I'm not sure that anyone said that they "like" it. My intepretation was that they felt Ghost Manor simply isn't as terrible as others.
I like it!

I think that one was made in Europe.
Judging from the music style, it would seem so... very Euro-scenish. If they took just a few more minutes to tweak the collision detection, this game would have been good... not spectacular, but good at least.

Falcon is the suck for sure!!!

The TG-16 port of gunboat is pretty rough. Only reason why I don't hate it much is that I kind of enjoyed playing the DOS version of it on my old 386sx back in 1990. This reminds me a lot of other DOS battle sim games that played like it. Examples: M-1 Abrams Battle Tank, 688 Attack Sub, A-10 Tank Killer, Red Baron, etc...

I'm surprised to see more votes for Talespin than Darkwing Duck. I wonder if that's because more people have played Talespin?

P.S. - Anyone that votes for China Warrior has my permission to go f*ck themselves.

*hug*

I voted for Darkwang Duck, because it has no excuse for being so shitty.

I didn't vote Turrican because it sucks on every platform it's ever been on, so I'd rather save my worst TG16 vote for something meaningful.

Turrican is like, a special olympics Contra.

and I didn't vote for Falcon because its as good as every other shitty flight sim from back then.  All of those games blow to me!

I haven't played all of the games listed, but of the several I have, it's probably a toss up between Talespin, Darkwing Duck and Yo Bro!. Since it's the only one (of those three) that I currently own, I'll go with Talespin. It's about as clunky as they come.

I've never played Falcon or Gunboat, but just from watching videos online, I imagine I'll despise them. Especially Falcon. I don't even like current flight games, let alone those wretched 8- and 16-bit offerings.

Darkwing Duck and Talespin are decent games, which are only seen as terrible because the NES got all of those great Capcom licensed Disney games (imagine a TG16 Ducktales... drool).  Yo Bro! is a good game, and to me, seems like it could be on a few top 10 best TG16 games, so I am surprised it got a vote.  Falcon sucks, but I think it is because I don't like the flight sim genre, and not necessarily because it is a bad game.

Timeball is just no fun to play, it is terrible.  That's why it is my pick.  Sorry to hear about your Christmas djolof, but Boxy Boy is somewhat redeeming at least.

Boxyboy's a great game - just not one you give to a kid.  Timeball could have been called Blowdia.  It does appear though that Falcon will finally take its place atop one list at least.

I must be missing something because I keep hearing how much fun Ducktales is, but I just can't get into it.  Maybe there's a big nostalgic factor that I'm not taking into account.  (I remember the cartoon fondly - I must have been in middle school/early high school when it aired.)

Talespin was alright.

Darkwang duck was a f*cking disappointment and a half.

I really wish Capcom got to OBEY.

Little Nemo for PCE would make me piss myself infinitely.
