Rayxanber II CHALLENGE!!!

Most people who have this game only turn it on to hear the goofy intro. It has a bad rep for being too hard.

I only played this a few time after I got it about 6 months ago but in the past couple of days I've turned it on a few time and I think it's starting to grow on me. It has a lot of similarities to Gate of Thunder which we all love. The music is FANTASTIC just listen to the full intro, its top tier stuff. Even the jingle when you pause the game is cool. It also has some totally badass graphics and parallax.

In lieu of the Measure of Turbo Badassness challenge on the brothers duomazov page http://www.thebrothersduomazov.com/2011/10/measure-of-turbo-badass.html I've decided I want to be a turbo badass and beat this bitch.

Anyone up to the challenge too?

Level 3 is awesome! the crab leg level is super cool and very unique!

I borrowed this game from a friend and I never gave it back.  We both forgot about it.  It's a good thing, too, because he ended up giving most of his games to some person who in turn just pawned them.

I made it up to level 4, I think.  I have a hard time making it to the end of stage 2 these days.

I can get to Level 3 boss on my first credit so far but I get pwned quickly by him.
Level 3 is so badass with the crab legs but it takes lots of practice to memorize the exact positions you need to be in when the legs shift. It also helps to speed boost through some bullets to keep your ship from jumping around too much to dodge bullets and accidently crash into something. After all that though it's a breeze.

Beat level 3! Level 4 is pretty crazy so far.

Bahhhhhh Level 4 is nuts! The slowdown works to your advantage though but still............
Unlike the earlier levels where you have to find all the sweet spots, this one is all about dodging skills. You have to keep on top of clearing out the enemies too or else theres way too much on the screen at once.

The slowdown in stage 4 of Rayxanber II is a great example of slowdown that shouldn't be there in a video game. There really just isn't enough actually happening for the slowdown to be there.
