Anybody ever swap a Core 1 or 2 PCB into an original white PCE shell. seems like a more elegant solution to adding AV to the White PCE and having an empty switch slot to add a region mod.
I'm really a fan of the white PCE but don't wanna do all the work for both the AV mod and the region switch.
The only problem then is you are left with a Core shell and a PCE PCB.

Aren't most OG PCEs attached to IFUs, AV Boosters, or something else anyway?

Yesh, I assume.
But I thought it would be cool to have a just the compact PCE hooked up to a tiny TV in my office.... really want the White one but that limits modern tv options and doesn't look that great.

You could tap a/v off the expansion bus. If done well, that would still look nice and clean from the front.
