And I was beginning to think nobody else got the reference... Whew!

I still have no idea what Bernie's new avatar image means... :p

EDIT: Regardless of what it actually is, I'll probably see the TMBG reference from now on...

That clip is awesome. Flood is boss. (I'm biased - almost all of their stuff is awesome to me) I've never seen that clip before - very cool!

My avatar choice was chosen for reason's not so much different as your own. A lot of the more passionate fans of the Turbo and PC-E, like to express that feeling with a unique name of something associated with those consoles or games that were exclusive to the consoles.
I had some good ideas but, most of them were taken so, I started flipping through my game manuals to find a suitable name that only a TG16/PC-E fan would recognize and that's when I remembered that Blazing Lazers featured some enemy ships and stuff in it's manual with names.

The Shrapnoids are the meteors that burst into smaller shrapnel-like meteors that home-in on your Gunhed ship after you fire on them.

If you're battle skills aren't that good or your weapons aren't leveled up enough then, you're better off dodging the Shrapnoids.
