Thanks, Bernie. I was in high school when the Turbo Duo originally came out and couldn't afford one. In fact I've never even touched one, so this will be my first.  Do you actually have a few of them?

Congrats man.  Enjoy the system!  :)

I have a couple of systems so far, but I'm still relatively new to the world of TG16/PCE. In the past few months I got a TG16 and a CoreGrafx2 + CD-ROM2 combo. As for which will be the first game to be played on it, I think it'd be fitting to test the system with the Bonk 3-in-1 pack-in game. Not sure after that, but it'll probably be a shoot'em-up!

Are there any particular games you are targeting to play first on it? (assuming you don't already have a system)

Opethian, the Turbo Duo arrived today. The packaging job was exemplary, everything is in fine shape, and the system played both Hucards and CDs without issue. And thank you very much for the free Blazing Lazers and Fly-wing arcade stick (which I've never seen before). Those were awesome bonuses and this was a great forum transaction. Thanks again :D

It's an arcade stick that is compatible with the PCE, Genesis/MD and NES. I'd never heard of it before either. Here are some more pics.

Thanks for the awesome photos of the Fly-Wing and box.

I have to ask: how do you configure the cable for the different consoles? I see the chart on the back...I am assuming the controller comes with several cables/connectors?

Also: Is this a solid, heavy stick? Or does it feel light and flimsy?

Thanks in advance...

The Fly-wing has a 15-pin port on the back. There are separate cables for each console; one end has the 15-pin plug and the other end has the typical plug found on controllers for that console. In the photo below is the cable for the Genesis/Mega Drive on the left and the cable for the PCE/Duo (8-pin Mini-DIN) on the right. The NES cable is unfortunately missing.

My opinion so far is that it works well with shooters. I played some Gate of Thunder and the control was fine as the stick felt good and moved freely. I don't think the Fly-wing would work as well for fighting games like Street Fighter because the stick does not have much travel and the buttons are not even in the same zip code as Sanwa and Seimitsu. It doesn't feel flimsy, but it does feel cheaper than the Sega Fighter Stick SN for the Genesis, the Sega Virtua Stick for the Saturn, and the Ascii sticks for PS1/PS2. Overall I can't complain as it was a freebie and I can see myself having some fun with it playing shoot'em-ups.

Thanks for the additional info and pic.

I can now die happy. All my questions answered.

:)

Well, what's up with the "20 max pts." sticker?

I have no idea about the "20 max pts" sticker. My buds were just as puzzled when they saw it.

Don't mind at all. The original post had the asking price; Opethian edited it after the sale completed. He asked $350 and that was the final price. I tried to talk him down but he would hear none of it. :P

It was worth it because the console is in great shape and has a new laser and set of capacitors. This 20-year-old baby has a lot of life left.
