Is Populous the only game that is a RomRam hucard?

It's the only game but it's not the only HuCard, a distinction shared with the Tennokoe Bank.  They're different though, as the Tennokoe's is save RAM and Populous's RAM is used in game.

What about Super Street Fighter II.  I know it doesnt say, romram on it.  But why the extra hump on the card, just like with Populous and the bank?  I always wondered about that.

Its not Super Street Fighter 2, its Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition and yes I would like to know that too. ^^ Its interesting to see how cheap Populous is for the pc engine (both cd and hucard) compared to other games for the system.

It's been discussed before, but yeah SF2 hucard doesn't have additional ram on the card. Is Romram the official term? Anyway, the system card 3.0 has ram on the hucard (Arcade Cards do too, but the syscard 3.0 setup is more like Populous). There's the later Game Express system card, IIRC, which has additional ram. Though I don't remember any details on it (compared to the earlier versions that just use the 64k CDBASE ram).

If we're being pedantic, it's actually Street Fighter II' (dash) Champion Edition.

Mustn't forget that '.

The hump is for label room.  The PCB extends under the hump a bit (not all the way to the bottom), so they would've had to either make the label smaller or the PCB bigger to use a big sticker like on the Arcade Card Duo; no doubt the hump was preferable, as a screened label is more durable than a sticker.

Romram the official term?

That's what's on their manual covers.

Be nice to have some way to save your location in a game when you cycle the power. No i dont mean a BRAM game save either. I'm talking like a save state in an emulator. Shut off the system but keep juice flowing to the hucard. Turn the system back on and your right where you left off in real time. If that is even possible. Would be cool.

I'm not Arkhan, but it is a little better to use something like FRAM or an EEPROM, that way there is no risk of a battery leaking inside of a sealed HuCard. That is what I did with my own devboards.
