Who cares, it is a brand new system they just want our money it is a marketing campaign. If you buy it, you have just wasted your money. Think back to when the PSP, NDS, and GBA was released.

They are trying to capital on us, and that is it. We should look away and that is about it. If you buy this thing you have just hurt the PCE community. Do not give Sony or Nintendo another foot in the door.

And how is this hurting the PCE community?  There's no retail PCE market so your point (as usual) makes little to no sense.

If you love the PCE you will not buy a Vita.

I tell you this, if you really want something you will stick that and only that. I know the money is not a lot, but a little will go a long way.

So only stick to one thing?  Seems more than a bit shortsighted, and retarded fanboyish.

Agreed.  The thing I have in my mind is the many 1000's of hours of fun the PSP gave me.  I still use the damn thing, and I bought the original white one when they first appeared, and then a 2000 when I burned through that one.  Excellent for watching films AND awesome multiplayer.

If it has PCE games too, that's icing on the moist, delicious cake.  Actually, it's fresh cream.

I'll probably pick up a Vita at some point, but not to buy PCE games. I can do that already on the real hardware. If I'm going to emulate software I already own there's not a chance I am paying some middleman to do so. Speaking of which, is there a cracked/custom firmware for the Vita yet?

^___^ I like the way you think.  Actually, most of the games I err... "digitally borrowed" on the PSP, I ended up buying at some point.  Now I have a pretty decent collection, they just take longer to load.

I have nothing against buying new games for new hardware (do it all the time for the iPad, for example), but I refuse to pay someone to let me emulate something I already own in one format or more. If I'm going to emulate it's going to be on some hacked/modded system.

Well I am getting tired of being hyped up for the next big thing. Every five years they do this sorta thing on purpose. I understand they need to profit and keep consumers but they should find other ways.

The reason why I love the PCE, is because, I am an artist and I love 2d videogames. Part of the reason why I even liked videogames was because the art expression like comic books, and animation. The PCE was built for comic book and animation, stand alone. Yes you could make great programmable feats on it, but no other system expressed creativity so much.

I am not going to talk about the west. The film "Heavy Traffic" makes the overall statement, about love for creativity in the west.

The Vita is just like the last game system and the one before that. The whole thing feels stupid. I am a big person, and the last thing I need is another fad to get into. The Amiga looks like a better investment then a Vita.
