Hello!!! So glad to be a part of the TG-16 community!!!

Hello all!! My name is Dan! I finally found people that share the same passion as I do!!!

I have always loved the Turbo, ever since I was a little kid. While my friends all had Genesis or SNES, I was always the outcast for having the TG-16.
Now many years later I find myself still attached to this console and now have become a collector.

A few months ago I dusted off my old TG-16 console and found a couple of games I had. The idea to become a collector clicked in my mind after seeing that hucard can still be found on ebay. I decided right away that I wanna collect the entire USA library of titles. I know it will take me years to complete, but this is my goal, my passion and my dream.

The best thing happened was when I found this forum. I absolutely had no idea there were people just like me. People that also collect TG-16 related items. I was absolutely stunned and amazed. This has completely made my day!!! I am extremely happy and exited to be a part of this community!!! 


My collection is small, but here is what I have so far.

TG-16 US console - original ac adaptor and original RF cable
turbo pad
turbo tap


bonk's adventure - hucard only
raiden - hucard only
keith courage in alpha zones - hucard, jewel case and instructions
world class baseball - hucard, jewel case and instructions
vigilante - hucard, jewel case and instrustions

neutopia - jewel case and instructions only. need the hucard
tiger road - jewel case and instructions only. need the hucard


Once again, I am really happy I found this place and I am very glad to be a part of it.

Welcome man!  I am sure you can find a lot of what you need for your collection right here in the forums.  Keep your eyes on the sales/trades threads, and maybe post a want to buy list as well.    You will be surprised at how fast you are going to accumulate Turbo stuff by coming here.

Bernie tells the truth, With all the free raffles and contests not counting resonable sales your collection will double maybe triple by 2013.

I'd advise you focus on the fun of gaming though, and not just collecting. A "complete" USA collection isn't actually any more fun to play than a %60 complete USA collection with 50 some imports thrown in. Also, by the time you get around to buying Night Creatures and Darkwing Duck they are going be $1000 a piece.

ha! thanks for the good advice! I will definitely enjoy playing the games as much as collecting them. The best part is I get to actually play the games, and not just display them. It's a collection with a function. Thats what draws me to it. I also know that I wont be able to complete the entire USA collection. Especially with epic threads like 1250 dollars for just a box of some game lol.

I will be glad to get a bunch of US games with instructions and cases. That would make me happy. Then maybe I will look into getting a CD attachment to my TG-16, and then start collecting some USA CD's. I guess I will get into the whole PC Engine market way later on. It seems like all to much for me as of now. I just wanna take it one step at a time.

Lots of great info on this forum and some of the flame threads are just insanely hillarious. I hope I will not be the one on the receiving end of those. Brutal! lmao

Welcome to the forum dude! You are just getting started with what you have and I would recommend looking into a PC Engine if you really want to get into the good games. And I hope you like shooters because there's tons of great ones!

When you do finally get a CD attatchment you must and I mean MUST GET GATES OF THUNDER & DRACULA X. Those 2 games alone will have you creaming in your pants. Both the games are nothing bu pure AWESOMENESS.
