Cap replacement then audio issues
« on: February 10, 2012, 01:53:54 AM »
Hi everyone this is my first post and i have a weird issue. I was given a used turbo Duo and all of the audio worked fine minus the streaming audio off of the CD portion. Audio was loud but the streaming audio was crackling in and out. So i figured a cap kit would do it. The cd-rom dive was only 2 years old so i figured it wasn't the drive. After replacing all the caps the audio was not crackling anymore but instead was very very low. I have to crank the volume on my tv all the way up. The streaming audio portion was fixed but now i have this issue. I triple checked all the cap and made sure i placed them and soldered them properly... any suggestions?

you could have a cap in reversed.
I could walk you through troubleshooting in chat, but this forum lost its chat box.

Did you mean that all of the audio is now low or just the streaming cd-audio?
