Orion's new PCE homebrew project!
« on: March 09, 2012, 05:15:01 PM »
Was farting around on Atari Age & noticed a new game by Orion.  It's aparently multi plat, including a version for the PCE CD!  Here's the link http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/193993-elansar-project/

It's not my type of game, but, I'd still buy it.

Well, if that's the kind of game Orion wants to make, sure, though I can't say I feel the PCE is really in need of that kind of game.

That is very kool! I don't mind the Myst-style games at all.

I watched the "making of" video and it was nice (well, the music kept me interested).

Do we know who Orion is? I love that he chose PCE as one of the three platforms...

Does it need other RPG's too when it has already so many masterpieces?
Anything new for the PCE homebrew-wise is good. Obey, whatever genre is being released. OBEY is the only word. :)

I like the idea of a Myst style game for the PCE. Even if it only takes an hour to beat, better than no game at all. I'd buy it.

It concerns me how many folks on this forum have enough disposable income to throw out claims of being willing to buy anything... What are the po' folks among us supposed to do?

The same thing I did, suck it up and sell off everything: All your Duo games, your broken Duo, controllers etc..... of course hindsight being what it is I will need to get a Duo RX sometime in the future. How the hell else am I supposed to play Jungle Bros. on real hardware....

He's responsible for this https://www.pcenginefx.com/forums/index.php?topic=10164.0

OMG! I had no idea about the URC Demo! That thread was created during one of my sabbaticals and I don't think anyone ever referenced it when I got back.

Thanks for the scoop

Sweet!  I like point 'n click adventure puzzlers, of which the pickings are mighty slim on the Turbob.

I was thinking, we should probably send an email to the fellow just to say,"Hey, a bunch of us in the TG-16 community appreciate your work and wan to encourage you."

I know this sounds corny, but I gotta let him know that his efforts will not be in vain.

How many homebrews have been or will be released for the PCE? Only 3 have been released and just a few are announced so you don't have to be rich to get them all. Orion said his game would be 15€ only. It's not such a big deal, isn't it?
