Video Game Den
« on: November 05, 2005, 06:42:38 PM »
Hi,

I am new to this Forum but I've been thinking to join for a long time now. I am delighted to present you my new site Video Game Den. Maybe some of you already knew my two other sites, The PC Engine Lounges. I have merged them both into VGDen, you'll find there reviews of more than 200 PC Engine games, an article about the HuCard format and tons of other news. I hope you will like it :)

VIDEO GAME DEN

I must say I love the work done on PCEngineFX.com and I hope I managed (and will manage) to bring something to the PC Engine community.

Thanks :)

Good to see you here! :) Many of us are familiar with your previous endeavors -- but your new site really looks great. Loved the picture of the HuCard's internals... much less glamorous than I thought it would be.

Excellent!

UPDATE: OK, I just spent some time browsing your site... lots of personality and charm (the mascots for each system, Mr. Spoiler -- who is mighty familiar :) )

Hey it looks like a very nice site so far and I really love those console-themed robots! Especially the Core Grafx one:

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

the best thing about the core grafx mascot is how he has a Ten No Noke II (or something like that) as wings / jetpack. Awesome! The HuCard shield is runner-up :)

I didn't even notice his back pack was a Ten no Koe II!

Hayya !

Thanks for your feedbacks. I'm glad you like the CoreBot, he'is indeed wearing a Ten-No-Koe as a back-pack. I'm such a geek   I though it would be fun to have consoles described as robots. We always talk about the "the war of consoles" and things like that, it kind of made sense for me to symbolise each console with a robot.

Nice to see you here Kaminari, you unmasked me ... English isn't indeed my native language  :)

I hope Video Game Den will bring you precious information, I've created this site 'cause I just couldn't find compact information about all those games anywhere else on the web, and how they relate with each other and other game systems. I love Video Game History and I created VGDen to share this passion with all of you :)

I did a quick scan over your site. It's absolutely great! Thanks for the effort man. When I'm back into PCE collecting, I think I'll visit your site on a daily basis.

Great to see new sites dedicated to our fave system!

I plan on making one with killer flash intro as soon as i learn how to make sites. Might be heading out to ITT Technical Institute. I keep seeing the commercials and and and in need of mre nerdy learning experience on the PC(i Love being a geek/nerd on this thing....nothing wrong with that either!!!!!), so i already have it mapped out in my head, and with my lifetime of art experience it should look GREAT!

Man your site rules! I remember checking it out when it was first up and it was pretty cool back then, but I was wanting reviews and now you have them! It's a good and bad thing that they are short reviews, but hell those get the point across and I guess that's all I want, especially since you have so many games to review, I probably wouldn't read most if they were too long. Excellent work, keep up the great job! Also, +1 for the screenshots, it's hard to find PCE screenshots these days it seems.

Thanks :)

I'm thinking to write longer reviews for some games, but they'll probably become articles. I wanted to keep everything short so players can have a quick idea of the game before they buy it. Thanks for your positive comments :)

Although the screenshots and quick to the point reviews are why I keep checking in, I really love the Mr Spoiler section. Please keep 'em coming. :)
