Dear Americans
« on: April 02, 2012, 04:46:21 AM »
Hey guys.  I really want a bears jersey like I used to have as a kid, but I don't really know where to go to get one.  I'm pretty sure mine was a 34, and that's the number I'd like again, with Payton's name across the back (my favorite football player).

I'm not sure what shirts are made of these days, but my old one was really rough, so you'd have to wear a T-shirt underneath, but it had many holes, so it was quite light as a result, perfect for running about in.  I gave my old one to my best friend cos she looked good in it, but I want a new one.

How much is it gonna cost me, and where's the best place to get one?

I think the NFL tries to do all official online merch sales through nfl.com, judging by their recent ads.
Take off yer flip flops and set up the tripod: it's bag kickin' time!

Ok wow O___O  Every Payton shirt goes from 130-250 bucks.

But they do have a customisable 00 jersey for $90

lol yeah, I saw that. And they still won't let you make a #07 Atlanta Falcons jersey with the name "Mexico".

Hey Soop, if you like teams that win once in a while, I could snag you a Packer jersey here locally ;)

A Fudge Packer Jersey?  Lol, I still hate the Bucks and the Lions, since they were in the same division, but I don't hate the Vikings or Packers too much any more.  I'm trying to remember what teams I disliked...  Kansas City, the Denver Broncos and John Elway, the Giants...

As weird as it sounds, there are LOTS of Da Bears fans up here, I'll keep my eyes open for some 34s.

Do you have a specific preference in quality?

I'd quite like the coarse style I used to have with holes in it - I don't know what they're like these days, but I can't see any holes.  But the main thing is that it's (or at least looks) official - I've seen some terrible knock-offs that use the wrong fonts etc...

And the other problem is, I'm a medium (as in size, not as in I talk to ghosts), and most shirts I see on the 'Bay are Large +

Wasn't Fred Savage in Princess Bride wearing a #34 Payton Jersey?  Was this it?

I remember when we had cool rooms like that. Nowadays everybody calls them kids room, and office desks.
