The coolest, weirdest, rarest, PCE manuals thread
« on: April 09, 2012, 10:02:24 AM »
Manuals are a lost art, they were to me the gateway into many a japanese art style and artists! Here's a thread for your favorite manuals.

I'll start with two

Rondo examples

Sweet! I only have the game as loose Huey : |
That last stage map spread would make for a great poster.

Edit: I also think that the manual for Galaxy Fraulein 2 is pretty cool, as it contains a whole lot of color illustrations of the characters and also an illustration from Fujishima Kousuke of You're Under Arrest, Ah! My Goddess & Sakura Taisen fame.

It also included a really awesome metal sticker.

EDIT: I'm talking about Yuna 2 here.

If isn't somewhere on the web already, and someone can dig that out, I might try and fire up the scanner if you want it. We'll see.

Dead of the Brain is pretty uncommon and its manual has some of the coolest artwork.

^ Oho!
A bit off-topic but I've got an artbook by Makino Ryuichi which contains that image (only image of that sort in there - rest is cute girls), as well as some art from Faussete Armour & some other games. Can't scan that one though, but it's this one.
The book itself is pretty NSFW though...

Linda 3 has pretty awesome art. I only know this from looking through the Cannabis Works art book though since the game itself is bitch hard to find.

The PCE version or something else?  There's six copies up on eBay right now and Hit Japan lists it as available too.

Hmm, a bit easier to find right now, and also cheaper. I'll have to own this soon now, I guess.
