I really want one of these but only ones I can find are expensive on ebay like $100+. I haven't had any luck looking on YJA for one. What is a good price?

You can get them on YJA for a reasonable price. They usually go for around $50, but if you keep looking you can find one cheaper than that. Try searching for シューティングウォッチ

Aha that's what I was looking for I couldn't figure out what to put in the search bar. Finding games is way easier or you can just browse by system.

Why do they even go for that high on YJA if you still can get em in shops for below 2000? crazy.

to be honest, you two guys have the 3rd edition, since there were already 2 editions back in the 80s :)

Was there...? I never realised that.

Is there much details anywhere on when they were originally given out...?

there were even 3 versions in the 80s. They sold about 1 million pcs. the 2nd one (pro) was deticated to the pce since it had a I・II・SELECT・RUN button layout (thats the one I have as an original).

couldn't find exact dates of releases.

so there were different replikas for the 2006, 2007 & 2008 tournaments made (they also including the mkII pce overlay as an additional sticker), and all made in china (the originals were made in japan).

there were also other form factors made over the years just as the famicom pad, super famicom pad etc. but they are seeming to be much less attractive. FC pad was cool tho.

and then there were the mini shuwotchi (capsule shuwotchi) from the gashapons by yujin, came in i believe 3 different styles (original, fc, and star soldier).

the additional games can be unlocked by resching 62 (cycle game) resp. 160 (slot game) pushes ( ->the legenday score by TM).

You can get them in shops for 2,000 yen? I've never seen one, but maybe I'm not looking hard enough. Where did you see them?

I believe retro friends still selling em for about 1680.

Never heard of that shop before. Do they have a website? Anywhere I look all I can find them for is around 4,000-5,000 yen...

Yeah I didn't see any shooting watches there, but I'm sure you can find some great deals in Akiba! Unfortunately I live in Kansai, but I will be in Tokyo next week. If I have time I might check it out.

someone should add the shooting watch to the high scores thread. If nobody does I will when I get one.
