Mystery Titles
« on: May 01, 2012, 02:44:29 AM »

Recently I made some very regrettable PC Engine hardware purchases on SMJ and one of them was accompanied by 11 mystery titles as seen in the blurry images above.

After a lengthy bit of manual image comparisons of various auctions I managed to identify all but one of them.

None of these look like a keeper, especially since most are not complete which I frown upon.

Can anyone by chance identify the last title?

It will most likely be something in the order of a month before these are actually in my hand, but until then if anyone is interested let it be known that I'll likely be selling these off in one lot right here on this site.

I don't know what the mystery title is, but if you haven't checked out Götzendiener and Panic Bomber yet, I'd suggest at least giving them a try. They're pretty fun! Except when Götzendiener locks up for no good reason.  But still, worth playing!

Thanks for the identification. That guy must have really liked his pachinko.

I'll give each title the 10 minute courtesy when I actually have them in hand. After that they will most likely be up grabs. Unless they grab my interest in their 10 minute audition that is.

Those 2 titles are the best ones from that lot.

You'll likely enjoy most of these titles actually.

Dibs on Cobra and Panic Bomber if you don't.

Oh no you don't. I am not going to sell off the few good titles in this lot on their lonesome,  leaving me with festering copies of Shanghai and Human Sports Festival.

If you are going to buy any of these then you are going to buy all of them together.

It really annoys me to be stuck with unwanted copies of games that I cannot sell easily. Whenever I see them amid my collection I am tempted to just throw them into the bin to be rid of them. But then I think about how these are not being made anymore, feel guilty and end up not doing it.

Have had much cursed copies of SEGA Rally and Fifa 96 for SEGA Saturn since I got them as part of the system purchase back in the 90's. To this day the little buggers annoy me whenever I lay eyes on them. Fie onto them!

Human Sports Festival is a compilation of the games Formation Soccer, Final Match Tennis and Fine Shot Golf.
Final Match Tennis is a decent game, particularly good fun with multiple players.

You could always raffle off the games you don't like/have a hard time selling.

I don't want manual-less games, lol.

The sports festival is really f*ckin tits though.   FMT is a great tennis game.

I guess you could always raffle them.  I don't want non-completes either though, I want my collection all delicious.

We'll see when the time comes. I would prefer to save myself the hassle of trips to the post office by being rid of them all in one go.

What would be a fair price for this lot by the by?

There are so many stupid assumptions in this thread I don't know where to start.  Let's see...

Recently I made some very regrettable PC Engine hardware purchases on SMJ and one of them was accompanied by 11 mystery titles as seen in the blurry images above.
Bought first, researched later.
Has no idea what the games are like, but assumes they're "regretable."

Oh no you don't. I am not going to sell off the few good titles in this lot on their lonesome,  leaving me with festering copies of Shanghai and Human Sports Festival....It really annoys me to be stuck with unwanted copies of games that I cannot sell easily.
...but assumes he'll have trouble selling them.

Oh yeah, and he posted all of this in the wrong forum.

Anyway, Götzendiener, Panic Bomber, and Red Alert are great games. Golden Axe is worth having for other reasons. I haven't played the rest.
