How old were you when the Turbo Grafx came out?

"TurboGrafx-16, fully titled as TurboGrafx-16 Entertainment SuperSystem and known in Japan as the PC Engine (PCエンジン Pī Shī Enjin?), is a video game console developed by Hudson Soft and NEC, released in Japan on October 30, 1987, and in North America on August 29, 1989."

Just want to get an idea on the ages of our community. If this is off-topic in any way, let me know!

According to the August 29th, 1989 US release, I was...4.5 lol. But my family went the more "mainstream route" in terms of consoles, and we started with the Nintendo and then Gameboy, Genesis, PS1, and so on. Unfortunately, that caused me to miss a lot of the niche games and other consoles, but I have most of them now! Hard part is building up the library at a reasonable rate to cost ratio.

A ripe 12 year old lad. My body was beginning to change, confusing feelings and thoughts, but my Turbo was there to ease me through the transitions.

I had just turned 11 when I got my TG16 (they got me Blazing Lazers as well) for Christmas in 89'. All my friends had NES's, and my parents wanted me to have something different. Plus, their NES's were only 8 bit while the Turbo was 16!

11 or 12 i remember getting it and me and my friend wanting to play a game but seen i controller port and was like WTF LOL. just funny that even 11 - 12 year olds know you need to have 2 controller ports.
