I was 12 but couldn't afford to buy a Turbo Grafx until a few years after the release.

I was a few months shy of two years old when the TG16 was released, and a 7 month old fetus when the PCE was released! A bit young, but I was still excited when I was reading about the PCE in VG&CE while in the womb.

I turned 14 almost exactly two weeks before the release of the Turbografx-16, but I don't think I picked one up until 1990.  I was probably still 14 though.  I remember being a freshman in High School when I got it.  Good times.  Had an after school job and a Sunday morning paper route back in those days and had no bills to speak of, so I got to indulge in video games in a way that makes now-me jealous of then-me.  :)

12 years old. There was a demo unit at the local electronic boutique playing keith courage. 23 years later I'm finally getting one courtesy of beemer! Can't wait!

9 for the PCE & 11 for the TG

Although the PCE was never released in my country (Australia) and I bought my first PCE console in 2010, been hooked ever since.
