 Um yea been checking out the boards here and there. Watching a lot of you guys bashing the new guys who only know ebay. Talking trash showing your mentality. Not giving the new guys a chance or even the time of day. Well cept blue he is the coolest. I do wish for prices like you all talk about would be nice, great ect. I can't be bothered to read through this whole thread to see if it's already been pointed out, just as it seems you couldn't be bothered to read much of the discussion you're criticizing.

But as often happens with people calling gouging-haters delusional/crazy/etc, you completely missed what was actually being said: that the prices we are talking about are happening, both on and off eBay. That's what makes the occasional ludicrous selling prices so ludicrous. Even in spite of market manipulation, Turbo/PCE games still manage to regularly sell cheap. The underlying problem that the people you're criticizing have been pointing out, is too many people like you are not only oblivious to this, but seem to ignore when it is spelled out to you.

I agree that some people are too rough on newer members and that the board is too negative in general. But that is a separate issue.

Well black Tiger thank you for the post, but you are a bit wrong in the fact that I have read every post, even apologized for calling Bernie's wife his girlfriend. And most of the ensuing posts from the first is about how it seems, to me anyways that noobs are either flamed or ignored. Ok well cannot be all, but really enough that a couple of other peeps have noticed also. Not to mention that peeps here sit in judgement wether they think some one should even be allowed to post. This is a public forum, peeps are all diff. I apologized and get a total flaming cursive rebuttal and told I act like a ten year old. Ok what ever guess if that is the way they need to get their point across go for it. Seems to me not so much goes they way one wants it to in life. He is young has a lot of living to do, he will see. Anyways on to your post well have seen all the posts and mine was about how some here like to gang up on peeps. Ok maybe they were wrong for asking the prices they do. But really not many seems to even try to be polite. Just a lot of cursing, gangbang the new dude. Ok he was asking to much but he did come here first, maybe dunno point out what kind of a forum this is and that his prices are to high. some will come off a bit harsh (zeta)
but even then we generally have good info to share.
as for prices if you get a ton for what your selling congrats, but dont act like your untitled to the high sell prices.
often we have raffles on games that people actually want.
wanted threads are often ignored, as they are often asking for things that others wont give up.
if you want to buy or barter watch the sales threads and make offers on what you want.

Ok thesteve thnx for the info however I never did try to sell anything. Well ever actually. For well just short of 30 years off and on been collecting and trading. Dont ever really seem to sell. That one game I really want might come by and who know what they will need. Been in this two horse town for about 15 years now, lol nobody here has ever heard of tg16 let alone a pc engine. So I just kept on holding onto them. Never know might find someone or a group who is willing to trade. So actually dont think I am entitled to anything, not to mention on my original post I really did specify everything was for trade only. I have never even sold one item on ebay, of any kind,if you can believe that .

just when a noob gets ripped into here its either they start in on others here or they take an entitlement stance on sales.
were mostly a gaming community here. (we play our systems/games)
a few of us do repairs and modifications.
we share system issues and fixes.
sometimes one of us will get a large lot buy and sell it off here piecemeal, or just sell off the duplicates.
often the prices are kept reasonable or even raffled off free.

I'm generally rude to new members at least once. I probably said something dickish to BlueBMW when he came here but I don't think he or I can even remember what it was. Then there are douchebag time bombs like CAS here who pull this shit.

Honestly, it's a pretty good barometer of dicketry. The guys here who hate me like Sparky and Professor Mike actually have reasons for it. They are stupid reasons, IMO, but they are reason. CAS, whoever the f*ck he is, hasn't even been here long enough to dislike me for anything other than that I probably exposed his lame-ass with a Newtype eBay gouger hunch. It doesn't always work, but I've gotten to the point where not only can I tell when a new guy is a dick from his first post, but I can 3/4 of the time trick him into saying something that makes his evil nature obvious to the other members by simply posting a comment or two in his thread.

A nice guy doesn't just turn into a huge a$$hole like his because of an Internet comment or two. CAS was an ass before he even got here. We just exposed it.

And CAS, seriously, I'm not one with any authority to critique people's grammar, spelling, or punctuation, but...it's genuinely difficult to interpret your posts here without reading every sentence multiple times. Proofread that shit, man. You must know that questions are supposed to have question marks at the end, right? Do you know what a comma is?
