looking for prototypes (will pay well)
« on: May 06, 2012, 02:43:27 AM »
I figured I'd offer to buy some, in the hopes a would be seller is willing to dig these out of their closets, for the right offer.
So if you think you have any, PM me and I'll make you an offer.

are you looking for preproduction NEC hardware or aftermarket prototypes.
every mod has a proto/test unit its applied to (anyone can make a prototype) we use them for design testing.

I was originally talking about games. Sorry, I'm not sure I understand the differences between the types you mentioned. Maybe you can break it down for me a bit.

Thanks for the info.

a prototype is any one of a kind item made for testing.
a game dev may make an eprom game cart to test a game
a hardware developer will build one and modify it till it runs right before making a batch.
home brew game and hardware development is no different, we prototype our developments as well

Ok then. Well I'll try not to be picky, and I'll be happy to talk about anything that anyone wants to bring to the table. But really, originally I was just referring to games that were in development.

Just be prepared to pay over $1000 for one.
