Tourist trap.  Nice to wander in if you are visiting for the first time, but anything you find in there can be had in better condition for cheaper in just about every other store in Akiba.  Never understood the strange fascination the internet has with SuperPotato (the name i'd assume?), everyone that's ever spent a day in Akiba knows Traders, Mandarake, Friends, and even the infamous MediaLand are way better shops to actually buy something from.

I suspect it has a lot to do with the nice youtube tours of Super Potato and the sheer amount of stock they seem to possess.

It's got that "garage" feel to it I guess, but damn it's stuffy and HOT in there.  Mandarake Complex's floor of games is bigger and it doesn't smell like slime-greased frenchies.

I didn't expect Danny to make a post about this, then I feel stupid for not expecting Danny to make a post about this. Will this be the first episode of his show that I actually will watch? I can't answer that one, especially since it doesn't seem to be out yet, but those priceswww.

Turns out he did buy a SFC at the end for 8000 yen total. I don't care if Axelay was included, that's way more than I'm prepared to pay (and probably more than I will have to pay if I decide to import one).

especially since you can region mod a SNES to play SFC games with a pair of pliers and about 2 minutes of effort.

Though that only works well for NTSC-units : (

Yes. but admittedly US SNES's aren't as aesthetically pleasing as Super Famicom's are.

I don't follow him as much now that he has seeded his Mirai stuff, he had done and older post about retro shops, but not just on Super Potato. Haven't seen any of his shows yet either.

and we thought ebay gouging was bad.
