ooOOOoooo... That's pretty.  Given the backlog of models I currently have, I can't justify spend $100 on another one right now.  But that is really cool.  Someone on the forums ought to get one so they can show it off at the conventions. :D

i haven't put together a kit like this (or even a car kit since I was a kid). Do these come in a solid plastic color on parts trees like other kits and you have to do all the painting and everything?

I build lots of models, cars, Gundam, etc. I live 10 minutes from both the best hobby shop I've ever seen and also the Gundamstoreandmore.com warehouse so I'm fairly well hooked up.

Dang, $100 for a 5500 yen kit? I'd buy that somewhere else.

Its interesting that they say its 1/100. I have no idea how big the R Type ship is, but it must be a lot bigger than I thought it was otherwise this thing is going to be friggn puny.

Some pics of my latest completed project, the GBPX-004B Hi-Psyco Bearguy:

Here are some more pics:

First off, this is the basic Bearguy:

Mine has been modified, usually they don't have funnels and such. The Bearguy was easily the most modded kit of 2011.

The Bearguy itself is a gag version of fan favorite Acguy:

Here is another one I did recently, the RGM-79C "Powered GM":

Some SDs I did ages ago:

I get emails from NCS everyday. Basically they promote pre-painted nudie girl statues to perverts too lazy to paint a garage kit.

I went to buy the latest SRW game from them and NCS's price was $20 higher than Play Asia's. I've been shopping with NCS for 15+years so I'd like to support them but...$20 price difference on an $80 is kind of ridiculous.

I was never aware of models like this.  Call me naive.  I'm use to the typical cars, planes, etc.  I have to say these, especially the one you posted the link for (above) are fantastic.  All of them get my model adrenaline pumping.

What does the R-Type model sell for?
I'm busy playing pinball, but I still drop by to visit.
