Issues logging into youtube account

So when i try to login to my youtube account. it just re directs me back to the main page and never logs me in. I tried clearing my cache and my cookies, but no dice. Ohh this is happening with google chrome. Anyone know why?

What he said.  Sometimes certain browsers have issues at some sites.  I've had similar issues, just not at YouTube.  Logging in with another browser was usually the fix if it was not a site related issue.

Strange.  I use Chrome almost exclusively and haven't had any trouble logging into my YouTube account.  But if I did, I'd probably see if I got the same results in a different browser.

Most of the time, issues arrive after a browser updates itself.  Normally, this happens behind the scenes.  That is where I have seen issues come about that were not present before.  For example, at the pcengine free forums with chat.  I had been using Opera with no problems.  After a recent update, I had the exact same issue that munch is having with youtube.  It kept going back to the main sign in, telling me my sign in info was invalid.  I first thought it was a site issue, but tried using Firefox and IE with no issues.  FireFox seems to be the win all browser for me, altho Opera is such a pretty one..  I love the way its set up.

Agreed.  I don't know why I don't use Opera more.  It's like the nice sports car you only take out on sunny days.  Chrome is my daily driver.

EDIT:  D'oh, I just went to check my version of Chrome to add it here (to see if you are using the same version) and noticed that it's currently updating itself.  So maybe the next time I start the browser up I won't be able to log into YT.  I'll let you know.

EDIT #2:  Ok, I restarted Chrome and am now running version 19.0.1084.56.  Went to YouTube and logged in without issue. 

Hmmm.  Is your YouTube acct linked with a Google acct?  Initially my Gmail acct. and YT acct. were separate, but I think I eventually had to link them.  If you have a Gmail acct, you can try logging into it and then going over to YouTube.

Yeah this issue doesnt happen in IE. i was just wondering if there was something i needed to do to fix it. i guess i will use a different browser for the time being

Opera is such a pretty one..  I love the way its set up. 

Its the best browser for me, its simple, minimalistic and very functional, you can hide pretty much every toolbar and button imaginable, and bring them up quickly and easily when you need them. It gives you the most screen area for the actual website than any other ive tried.
