yeah, i always get this way around the holidays!!

This year I've been watching this ebay listing for Gradius II.  damn I love that series, and the Super CD ver. is the most impressive version of Gradius II.

Just got the first one(Gradius) over the past summer... ONE OF THE BEST SHOOTERS EVER!!!  and on HuCard it is BETTER than arcade perfect.

A MUST HAVE!!  (gotta love caps)

anywho,

yea, thats about it.\

wouldn't it be nice to wake up christmas morning with a New sealed Sapphire under your tree....lol

Merry Christmas all!

Update well i got the guy modded Duo-R.I gave it a good run every thing work great but it was too, sensitive with (cd) games. That have the... slightest scratch and it won't play right or at all

In the end i told the person i'm gonna send his, Duo-R back and keep mine.

Looks like i will have to send my (Duo-R to D-lite) any ways for modding

There's nothing I'm crazy about right at the moment (winter is the slow season in the tattoo business, so after I bought Dragon Quest VIII, that was pretty much it for my games-buying for the winter), but I definitely get into those 'phases' where I get all psycho over one thing or another.

hey...how is Dragonqust 8?  It looks awesome and I love tht series...I am still plodding along in 7...:)

It IS awesome! Super fun, good and long (I'm at about 59 hours right now and I'm maybe 3/4 through the game, and I haven't done any side-stuff yet), graphics are kickass, and even with the 3D format, it totally retains the old DQ feel, especially in the battles. If you already love the series, yes, by all means, snap up DQ8 (I actually have not played through a DQ game since the very first one, although I have a few of the others, and 8 is really making me wanna go back and play a few more of them).

lol ditto.

But we still gotta give turbo sage mad props on finding the key to bypassing the shitty 6k resolution.

Picked up Capcom Classics collection and Metal Slug 4/5 for PS2 in the past couple of days. Now I might possibly get a copy of Ganbare Goemon 2 for Super Famicom shortly.

I finally got a PS2 equipped to play TM/FEOE III: Namida. My girlfriend surprised me a few days before Christmas with a slim PS2 and accessories(I immediately went out and bought her a Mario Kart DS system with Animal Crossing), after I had mentiomed Namida the week earlier. So I went and ordered the regular version(LE will have to wait) and paid a local guy to modchip it.

In the end, close to $400 was spent to get this one game running in my living room and it was worth every penny.

Aside from other impulse buys, I snatched up guide books for TMII and Ys I - III and continued to make small additional purchases from the same seller. By the time I managed to stop, I wound up with an invoice for $166 for a pile of PCE stuff shipped from Japan.

Aside from all the games and the books, I will now have a Memory Base 128 to go with my 2 Tennokoe's and Tennoke Bank 2.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot that I picked uo a complete boxed Turbografx and boxed Booster & Turbo Stick a few weeks ago at a local fleamarket for $100 Canadian. The only thing is that they smell like moth balls, but seem to be airing out reasonably well.

Anyone else get a case of this? I seem to get it for Turbo/PCE stuff every few years. I've got HuCard fever this year pretty bad. I plan on picking up a few oldies I don't have yet.

Anything you guys are foaming at the mouth for this year?

Hey guys, it's been a little while since I've been here. Did I miss anything big? :)

I was on a Turbo/PCE-buying rampage a couple months ago. Probably increased my collection by a third, and got my CoreGrafx (that was probably when I joined this forum, in fact!).

In the summer, when there's not really any good new game releases for the current-gen systems, that's when I usually get on my old-games buying kick and I add to my classic (pre-NES), 8- and 16-bit collections. This past summer was no different and I got some good stacks of Atari 2600, NES and Genesis games :)

Every once in a while, I'll get the nagging feeling that I need more Neo-Geo games, and I'll hunt around ebay for some cheaper, older AES carts or an MVS game or two that I feel I need to have. Same for JAMMA boards.

Unfortunately, I don't make as much money as I was making a few years ago, so my arcade cabinet collection has remained stagnant for quite some time. I only got one new machine this past spring (Mario Bros.), but there are times when I foam at the mouth for a new 300-lb. game too :)

I know the feeling i've been on... a retro kick this past years as well.

Even i know i should slow down i've been buying, MVS&PCE games like crazy.

I can't say it's help my bank account at all   :P

As for the current systems, i took a break from those since i got burn out on them.

Right now i got plans in getting a, Famicom av and the disk drive for it later on :P

Realy i do need to slow down....
