Always fun to play this stuff, but I have to agree with SamIAm, sell anything you want to open for 5X what it is worth unsealed, buy the unsealed version and PLAY IT!  Then, take the money you made and buy more TG16 stuff!  I always sell to buy more, not to make money, and it is more fun buying stuff with "free money"!  Super Congrats on an awesome find!

What to do with this collection is a personal decision.

From a purely financial standpoint, keeping the games sealed would make the most sense and either selling them now, when the market seems pretty hot or waiting to see what happens over the next few years... keeping in mind that the price may go up, may go down, or may even crash.  If you really want to play them, you can find cheaper open games, while making a profit selling them.

For some people, it would be worth the money just to open Magical Chase... a pleasure that will likely cost you several hundred to a couple thousand dollars.

For others, just knowing that they are one of the few ppl to have a sealed Magical Chase is worth it.

For some, getting the money would be nice... essentially, you can flip some plastic, silicon, and cardboard into a few thousand dollars... not bad...

Others just want to play the game... MC is not terribly easy to find in general, so opening the box is one way to do it... of course, there are other more economical ways to play the games: e.g., emulators and flash carts like neoflash...

OK, here's what you should do: put Magical Chase up for auction, make $5,000, take a vacation, open the rest of the games, and live happily ever after.

No wait...first tell Alexsessesdou that you'll sell Magical Chase to him for $700, then change your mind and do all of that other stuff.

Anyway, nice haul, welcome to the forums, and open those games!

hahahahaha... to funnny... and ya great find syphic as it is so nice to see a regular Joe get there hands on these goods, you paid next to nothing for the stuff so why not open them? hell if you do decide to sell them later you will still have a fist full of cash way more than the $350 you gave up :)... the people who are going to buy this sealed stuff up if you go to ebay will most likely be the wrong types of people/resellers.

ALSO... i am sure your getting a flood of PMs asking all kinds of questions & i am sure its a bit over whelming for ya so wait and get informed on things & prices and what a fair price is compared to an ebay price, hey ask around here on values but in the end i hope you decide to keep the stuff. :)

congrats again!!!

Its nice to get some friendly and nice opinions. Unlike some of the militant ones in some of the earlier pages.(Man some folks on here can be rough!) Im a gamer and not truly a hardcore collector but enjoy having some nice display pieces in my game room. But until you run into a find like this it isnt easy to make a decision on what to do with it. I mean im still in shock that this item is here in my bedroom. I still feel like im going to wake up and this was all some kind of dream.

Times are tought right now and the money would come in handy. But the one decison I have made is that I am going to keep this item. 2nd decision to open or not to open I will decide at a later time. If I do open it, you will all know and im sure and unboxing video would follow.
Awesome trades and deals with:
Fiftyquid, thesteve, keithcourage, mothergunner, Bernie, turboswimbz, Bardoly, BlueBMW, Galam, Nullity, Jtucci31, sirhcman,  Elderboroom, dicer

Sounds like a reasonable plan

Now, start playing the "common" games right now!

People are just rough because you wanna find hard platic cases to store your sealed games in. When prolly everyone here dont believe in doing that. We all agree you got a great deal yes. But when it comes to not opening a sealed game cause its worth $$$$ is a joke to me and most everyone on these forums. SOmething i cant understand.

This all sounds a little too good to be true, but if not congrats.

If you REALLY love the turbo I'd open all of them and take good care of them. You have a rare opportunity to complete a US turbo collection and be the original owner, no less, of some rare games in minty new condition.

If you decide you want to sell them it would be nice if you sold them here for less than eBay prices though.

well I know i'll get given plenty of nice feedback for this comment :) , but i'd keep them sealed.. If i want to play them i can download the roms, but for me owning the original and sealed is something i like.. Yes im not as much as a player and more a collector ( having said that im not a money bags and so if i do buy a sealed item i dont spend huge dollars on it )

if money is tight though, sell the sealed ones and buy open ones, but dont open the seal if you are going to sell them and not keep them, the extra cash you make off the sealed stuff you can keep and then you get the games and some cash.. best of both worlds.

I know everyone here would love a shot at buying some of the items from you at a good price ( including me!!!), but family comes first, if you need the cash then you need the cash, and regardless of what anyone says its your right to sell them for whatever you feel is fair.. but IF you decide to offer then here first then there are a couple of games there i would be interested in..

Awesome awesome find.. really cant wait to hear more about how you found them.. even though its heart breaking because im jealous ( yes there is no hope of me finding these loose in NZ so im not sure why im jealous :) )..

Looking for (MINT ONLY)
US Manual : Magical Chase, Shockman
US Box : Turrican,  Soldier Blade, New Adventure Island, Neutopia II
Other : Sapphire OBI, Turbo Play Aug/Sept 90, April/May 92, Turbo Edge Spring 90

PC Engine Special Cards : Bomberman User Battle

ROMs are evil (perhaps a necessary one) and NOT an answer unless a game is so rare or expensive that your chance of actually playing it are zero.  However, you have gorgeous new copies of some rare games that you can open and enjoy yourself.  Not too many others in the world have the option to open and play Magical Chase, nor will they.  Dont allow someone to keep it sealed away unplayed where no one will be able to experience it.
Having said that, don't open them all at once.  Take your time and savor each one.  And start with Magical Chase!!  I'll add $25 to the "fund"  -- open that game, YouTube it and I'll donate it to the charity of your choice in your name.

I'm not going to tell this guy what to do with the games. Sure, it'd be bad ass to rip them open and play the hell out of them. But it's a personal decision; especially with Magical Chase. I know we like to rip gougers and are constantly lamenting the fact that too often games are treated like commodities and not enjoyed. BUT, a brand new, sealed Magical Chase could potentially provide enough money to help someone out financially. And that's not my business.

I just say: congratulations. That's an amazing haul.
Games I Need: Bonk 3 (HuCard), Legend of Hero Tonma, Magical Chase, Soldier Blade, Super Air Zonk.

Got one to sell? PM me!
