Word up, comrades! :)
« on: July 03, 2012, 07:32:44 AM »
Hello comrades and compatriots!

It's good to be back.

I have been M.I.A. for pretty bland and uninteresting reasons, but I will share them with you nonetheless (this may or may not be in chronological order)...

(1) My laptop ac adapter just-stopped-working many weeks ago.
(2) I kept telling myself to order a new adapter.
(3) Crunch time at work.
(4) Stress mounts.
(5) An occasional bad dream due to stress. Much clenching of teeth.
(6) My twins are fully mobile and fully exhausting. They do not stop moving, eating, pooping, peeing.
(7) Every weekend filled with obligations.
(8 ) Three days ago, I bite the bullet and buy the cheapest AC adapter. Amazon reviews warned me it might only last a few weeks.
(9) AC Adapter arrives. I immediately test it and GO TO PCEFX.com

...anyway, I'm back, at least for a few days (I'm driving up to Maine this weekend for a weeklong vacation with family). If I'm not exhausted from swimming/biking all day, I'll be on the forums via my phone :)

Now, I'm going to bring kids to pool, but tonight I'll be catching up on 20 pages of "unread posts" from the forums :)

P.S. I still want to finish this up: http://tg-16.com/screenshot_comparisons.htm

I have a LOT more to do... but it is definitely a worthwhile project.

Yay!

missed you.  As did all of us.  I think quite a few can totally understand.  So you now have 3 children?  Congrats on the twins and welcome back!  :D

ditto.  it's relentless.  NOBODY can prepare you for having twins.  Well, i guess if you have triplets first.

UPDATE: The AC Adapter is ridiculously hot. I may soak it in an ice bath.

TO ALL: Thanks for the welcome back.

That's what is messed up! You just started posting again and I fall into a ditch for weeks on end.

ProTip: I actually ignore reviews that are written poorly.

Anyway, I figure that I'd rather buy 6 cheap PSU's over the next __________ years. My laptop is already ancient (January 2005!!), but I hope it lasts for a few more years. Just like my car.

Technically three kids, but, to be honest, my oldest (8 years old) is more like a peer--she is the best. She is more sophisticated and insightful than I was 5 years ago.

So, the three of us are raising the two little bastards. It's working out fine so far.

Hahahhahahah. Yup. I don't know how I'd be handling everything with amphetamines.

Good to see you back. And good luck with the kids. Glad to hear you speak so highly of your first (though I wouldn't expect a parent to say otherwise). It isn't that you compliment her so much as the way in which you do that gives me confidence you're doing everything right.
