PC Engine Duo R Power Supply
« on: December 22, 2005, 04:18:24 AM »
I have a US Turbo Duo and was considering purchasing the Japanese PC Engine Duo R but the seller told me that I needed to get a different power supply. Anyone know what kind I need? Or is the US power supply compatible with the Japanese?

Buy a Genesis II power supply. It will work perfectly with a DUO-R! (I'm using one myself.)

For cryin' out loud!  Please pay attention to the age of threads before bumping 'em.

Eh, at least this one had some useful information.
Might be fun to add esadajr to the Hall of Shame for being an idiot, though. :P

I noticed how he necroed that SGX question from literally well over a decade ago, and tried to give a serious answer to that OP; like he is even still around! Un-f'n-believable. I say ban him, on the assumption that he is just making ANY post in order to try and get in on the raffles. Clearly he isn't even reading the threads properly that he's posting in, let alone looking at the dates!

At least he's reading through back threads. I'd rather see an old thread revived than a new one created going over the same old stuff.  There's a ton of good reading in the archives.

Well, this one had something useful. I didn't actually know a model 2 Genny/MD PSU worked on a Duo-R/RX.

But Esada... you could use some better judgement.

Me too if there's something relevant being added or asked about.  That's not the case here.

you could autolock threads that have been dead for over a number of years...or would that be too difficult?

I don't mind when ancient threads are unearthed. It's fun to revisit them.

Also, esadajr is intentionally engaging in necroposting, which might chafe your sensibilities, but it is intentional.

At least, I hope it is.

I wouldn't want that, as it'd prevent people from bumping for legitimate reasons.  The system does give a warning, which should be enough:
