Atleast half of the VA's in Ys 1 & 2, were in Transformers & GI Joe, not to mention Debi Derryberry was in Tenchi Muyo!  And IIRC, most of the games with bad voice acting, were recorded in Japan, with actors that aren't used to speaking english, so they don't understand how things are pronounced........like if I was told to do a script in Japanese, I'd have no clue where to put emphasis!  Though, Ys 3 was done locally, you can tell by the names in the credits.

As long as we're talking about voice acting in games besides Ys, Dungeon Explorer 2 had awesome voices that highly reminded me of Ys. Any of the same actors, I wonder?

Dungeon Explorer 2 was voiced by Working Designs & their VA's, so, that would be Blake & the bunch.

Are you sure about that? Cause that might just change his opinion about how awesome the voice acting was if Working Designs had anything to do with it. I could be wrong though, just a guess. ;)

Come on now. I haven't voiced any general hatred of Working Deisgns. Also, if you read the first post I made in the thread you are talking about, I mention how I think they may be OK in some ways and not ok in others. ~ ~

Yeah, I noted that in the response I made towards the end in an edit. It seemed like you were playing devil's advocate or something right after, so it was somewhat confusing. But I reread that part, so yeah. =\

Yeah, I think I remember Don Shirley telling me himself that they we're doing the dubbing, with TTI on the text.  The same goes for Shockman 2.......which never got finished :(
