That said, I don't know how Soldier Blade and Magical Chase made it so high, especially the latter, given that it is the rarest game on the system. Do the 37 voters actually own the game?

Another head scratcher here. How the heck is Dynastic Hero #6? Do we really have 44 members that own it and love it, or is it all based on emulator/burned copy play?

Remember that it's not the number of people but a point system.

You now how this works. Everyone gives a Top 10 list in order, first game gets 10 points, second gets 9...

So if one person thinks a game is worthy of a top spot then it's 10 or 9 points. ect. Based on most of the people that responded with lists, If i had to venture a guess I think they are there based on both people having them and also emulator/flash cart play, not just on hype alone. Of course I think some of the hype of these games may be the rarity and "treat" for lack of a better word of playing them.

if we do have 44 members with the game, they should donate a copy to me.  :-" lol.
NW: Hey, I made it on this psycho's Enemies' List, how about that ?? ;)

BT: Look at how the fake SFII' carts instantly sold out and were immediately listed on eBay before the flippers even took possession. Look at Nintendo's overpriced bricks. Look at the typical forum discussions elsewhere.

You can't tell most retro gamers anything!

Ys I&II and Gate of Thunder make great sense, since they are the pack in games, and would be most prolific. Once again, it is nice, that the top 4 titles are reasonably priced, even on eBay. (Reasonable, when compared to the rest of the Super CD library.)

You are posting on a forum dedicated to the system. I wouldn't be surprised to see <1% of the game owners post here.

I don't have MC, but I do I have a flash card. I don't think that makes the experience any less valid.

As turboswimbz has pointed, it is a ranked based system. So, if just 6 members gave 6 points each to Magical Chase, that is all it would need to have about the number of points it has. With the limited library of 94 titles, TG users can play on an emulator the games they can't find physical copies of, and determine it is one of the best games on the system for them.

I think as far as US titles go, there are far more exceptional HuCards than there are disc-based games.  Looking at my PCE Daisakusen collection, I've only got 11 US disc games (though I have a couple JP versions of games that were released in the US).  Coming up with this list wasn't as easy as the HuCard list. :D

Top 10 CD games:

10. Sherlock Holmes
9. Cotton
8. Riot Zone
7. Splash Lake
6. Buster Brothers
5. Mysterious Song
4. Ys III
3. Lords of Thunder
2. Gate of Thunder 4 in 1
1. Ys Books I & II

I believe that the idea is to put your list in order, so that this community can use all of the data collected to come to a consensus on the top TG-16 games.

Thanks for the update.
I still plan on posting up my list eventually.  It's just that I want to be fair to all of the games, and there are still quite a few that I either haven't had a chance to play, or that I don't have enough play time under my belt to give an objective score.

On a related note, has anyone done a similar thread like this for the PC Engine games?

US HuCard Releases:
1 Parasol Stars
2 Alien Crush
3 Ninja Spirit
4 Soldier Blade
5 Super Star Soldier
6 Dungeon Explorer
7 Blazing Lasers
8 Devils Crush
9 Military Madness
10 Legendary Axe

I had to make a lot of cuts, but Damon wants only 10! I based my votes with the idea if I could only have 10 Hu's and then some was taking away one at a time. My opinion is very biased on my ownership and hours of game play.

US CD Releases:
1 Ys 1&2
2 Lords Of Thunder
3 Buster Brothers
4 Gate Of Thunder
5 Cotton

There is not enough disc games in the US, or I just have not played them all.

4.  Bonk's Adventure
5.  Legendary Axe
6.  Dungeon Explorer
7.  Ninja Spirit
8.  R-type
9.  Devils Crush
10.  Legendary Axe 2

Turbo CD Games:
1.  Lords of Thunder

Top 10 CD games out of what, 46?  Kind of an odd task, especially since I'm only picking from games I've actually played.  I should probably at least get around to seeing what the rest are like...

This was tough.  I'm sure one or two entries will shock people, but I *loved* these games as a kid and got used to the bad controls.

EDIT: Somehow forgot about Bonk 3.

1. Bomberman
2. Bonk's Revenge
3. Bonk's Adventure
4. Bomberman '93
5. Bonk III: Bonk's Big Adventure
6. Yo'Bro (Am I the only person in history to love this game?)
7. Tale Spin (Same with this...)
8. World Class Baseball
9. Devil's Crush
10. Cyber Core

(Note: I've only recently discovered how awesome DC is, and I expect it to jump up fast.)

Devil's Crush is freaking fantastic.  It's one of those games I've been playing since it came out and am still finding new strategies and it's still tons of fun to play.  And the music.... And it plays great on the Express!  I cannot count how many hours I've spent over the years playing DC on the Express.
