I was giving Storio shit for being an attention vampire wanker noob, which he absolutely f*cking is and and he proceeded to prove it by erasing his old posts and starting all sorts of new threads with vapid subjects. So in short, 1) he absolutely is what I accuse him of, and 2) what I accuse him of is really not all that significant. He probably doesn't even have to live in a group home anymore or have a cork on his fork. He might even have a job! I heard they were hiring down at the book recycling place.

What you are saying about RS 1) isn't just a minor personality flaw, its stuff that is internationally illegal and lands people in prison for decades and 2) is or isn't happening somewhere off this forum (thank God) so we have no written record of it, no proof, no understanding, no details.

Now can you see the difference between these situations? I seriously f*cking hope so. If I'm misunderstanding poor Storio then, really, how bad is that? Guys, Regal is practically a world famous troll. Everything he writes is just to get people riled up. Read any of his posts that he made on neo-geo.com, Sega-16.com ect. It's the same situation no matter what forum he's on.

As far as Regal's motives and psychology, I don't get the sense that this has been a charade or that he's sipping cognac, laughing at us.
1) No one in their right mind could invent his writing style. The guy clearly has special needs or trauma that impairs his ability to communicate.
2) If he were vying for attention or trying to get a rise out of people, he's sure not very good at it. He succeeded only in getting himself ignored and laughed at until the pedophilia post. Most of his posts exhibit a genuine (if bizarre) interest in politics, coding, and other issues larger than himself and getting attention.
3) If there's one thing an attention whore can never do, it's exercise restraint, and Regal's been pretty quiet since the whole fiasco. Real attention whores (Storino, Nintega, King of Games, Roy, etc) are never late to their own party. They appear like Beatlejuice the moment someone mentions their name and they never shut up. The thread explodes into twenty pages as they try to argue with us, edit their posts, pretend to be chipper and witty, and otherwise feed on their infamy. Regal on the other, seems to be feel regret - he immediately removed his post, he asked that everything he's written be deleted, he tried to write it off as performance art, and then he shut up. These are not the actions of an attention whore.

Seriously, the only reason anyone wants to keep him around is because they like looking at a human car wreck!
The guy only posts in Google English and occasionally posts absence threads where he admits to collecting child porn (he's done the same thing in other forums), making a majority of the users here uncomfortable. Why is that not a good reason to ban him?

I don't know about that - it's just that he's good at garnering attention without being hated as much (you won't hear people describing Storino/Ninny/etc. as great), and you don't have to be the absolute best example (worst example?) of a troll to be considered a troll.

Taking a more passive role does not negate the attention whoring.  It's actually rather shrewd, as not responding to others comments will piss some people off for being ignored and lessens the chance of him getting worked up and saying something so far over the line that he gets banned.
