What is that with the large turbografx-16 logo?

It's a carrying case designed for a TurboGrafx-16.

I never saw these TG-16 cases back in the day, but in the last 3 years I picked one up from someone here? I can't remember, but it fits a TG-16 + TurboBooster + games + AC adapter + controllers.

It's a friggin' huge box with solid, molded plastic interior. No foam cushions or anything.

I don't think it was made my NEC (a third party licensed it, I reckon), but I could be wrong.

I wanted to get a similar hardcase for TurboExpress (IIRC, "TurboExpress" logo was on cover), but some bastard here snagged it before I had a chance.

Again, I had never seen these hardcases available for sale back in the day...so the novelty of the item is part of its charm .

SGTJAMMA, the exact same basic thread already exists. There is a very predominant search bar at the top-right of the site. I suggest using it.

Seriously though, it's not really a huge deal. I just needed to raz you a bit. :P

Yup, that's why I use. My PCE was modded by Turbokon (I bought the whole thing from him, and sold/traded my old PCE to T2Kfreeker). I make sure to hook it up with RF, just to annoy you guys.

Before that, I had a PCE/Super CD-ROM2 combo that I liked to play in stretched widescreen with composite and mono, despite having a component hook-up. Again, just to annoy people like SuperDeadite.

*bump*

I've added s-video and a stereo headphone jack to this one.  I didn't install the audio low pass filter I can build that into an external box if I feel like it.  I'm waiting for the cd system 3.0 card to show up in the mail.  That's my turbo everdrive in the hucard slot.

WTF? There is absolutely NO reason to simply bump this thread without actually providing some new content or insight. Try participating without simply trying to pad your post count.

I was editing my post..

You can mail me your white system and pay me to add those ports, or just build it yourself.

lol wrong it works fine with cd games.  I can make a s-video cd capture after work if you want some proof.  The cd unit / ifu doesn't have anything to do with making graphics it's just a cd drive, some ram, and a circuit that mixes in the cd audio.  People who rgb mod their turboduo just tap the rgb from the same hu-chip that I get s-video from.  If the cd system mixed in more video the rgb mod on a duo would be tapping the video somewhere different than the same chip I grab s-video from.

I'm so OCD about PC Engine that not only do I use my Super CD with a Core II, or a PCE with a CDROM and IFU (testing only, CD still doesn't work), but I also tend to use the correct pad with the system - blue with Supergrafx, orange with the SuperCD/Core II - unless it's Street Fighter, when I use my Hori FC (thanks Samurai!)

I never tried the s-video just because I'm content with the composite video on my projection tv. I might need to try it just for the heck of it.

Just so you people know my first modded pce didn't work with the IFU.  The only difference between the non working one and the one that works is the working one still has the rf unit installed.  Both consoles I installed s-video, disabled composite and rf, and installed a stereo headphoe jack.  It could just be a problem with the expansion port but I just modded up my backup unit with s-video and a stereo jack because I didn't feel like trying to figure out the issue.  The modded backup unit works like a pro with the IFU.

And for the sake of hilarity the rf box is so old the little channel selection switch broke off from...old age.

The s-video is noticably better looking.  I do agree that these systems have the best composite video possible but s-video is still way better.

Use this thread for PCE setups.

I'm not posting my collection just posting my setup.  I should post my controllers too eventually I suppose.
