a) Alf was pretty naff, IMO.

b) Even though Alf was barely anything worth ruining, they *will* ruin it. Only creatively bankrupt people would remake Alf in the first place.

Maybe it is because I was younger than Zeta when Alf was new, but I loved that show as a kid and I still watch in syndication.

I loved it as a kid too. I also loved The A Team and The Fall Guy and The Dukes of Hazard. As an adult I can see that those shows are f*cking terrible though. The A Team in particular is one of the worst shows ever made. I recently watched every episode of Knight Rider on Netflix in a mad rush of gluttony. When I went and tried to do the same thing again with The A Team I simply couldn't pull it off. I couldn't even get through the second episode. As bad as Knight Rider is, its 1000x better than The A Team. Alf is certainly better than all the shows I just mentioned, but so is Webster...and Webster sucks too.

I'm positive about lots of things, but this isn't one of them. Where is the silver lining in some artless Hollywood hacks spending 100 million dollars making a new piece of shit out of an old piece of shit?

Its funny how you word this. If I can't get behind a project this inspired, then clearly I can't be positive about ANYTHING. Like, THIS should be the ultimate and most inspiring thing on Earth. A movie...based on Alf. Clearly, I must just hate the world and everything in it if I don't like the idea of the Hollywood remake machine pooping out Alf, because everything in the known universe ranks lower that the idea of a remake of Alf.
