Why is there a 1.0 system card?
« on: August 12, 2012, 05:20:08 PM »
I've not been able to find out much information about this, but it seems like the 2.0 card released extremely early in the system's life. All I know about the 1.0 card is that it's required to play Altered Beast for some reason.

So what's the difference exactly? What was so terrible about the 1.0 that the 2.0 was seemingly released almost immediately after?

System Card 2.0 grants its user 3 wishes. 1.0 doesn't grant any.

some users have said that system one had bugs that caused problems. system 2 fixes said bugs. otherwise i'm not aware of any differences other than the wishes. I asked my system card to make me hung like a bull hamster and give me fame and fortune. I got one out of the three and impress the hell out of hamsters everywhere.

Does the 1.0 have a memory manager in it? I thought that might be the difference. I'm pretty sure it didn't do CD+G.

Don't those rodents have big coconuts?  When I think of "hung" I think more of free willy.
