Driving a VW Caddy automatic at work, easy to drive but no fun. I sit very well in it though. We used to have a Rover 400 home, manual, that could be fun to drive but it had a bit too many kinks and I never could find a nice driving position in it - when I could reach the clutch all the way down, the bottom of the steering wheel was in the way for my leg when I wanted to brake
Reverse gear also liked to "jump out" of position.
Now all we have is a big Jeep Cherokee and I don't like it. Too powerful, too touchy, too big and not very good turn radius. I have no real use for a car at the moment, so I can live without one and save some money (fuel's expensive here and there are a lot of taxes & insurance etc), but when I need to get one - something small, nimble and fun will probably be right. Envious of your Miata, Zeta
(The old one's the prettiest! All hail pop-up headlights)
