Hitoshi Sakimoto did Chip Chan Kick's music!!
« on: August 26, 2012, 06:33:32 PM »
The title pretty much says everything, but holy shit, that guy is one of my favorite VGM composers. He did FF Tactics, Radiant Silvergun, Soukyugurentai, Verytex, and many others. Like Magical Chase.

Stage 1

Stage 2

By the way, I was reading about this game in Japanese, and a common remark is that this degree of loli sexualization and panty shots probably wouldn't fly in an all-ages rated game these days. I guess it's a kind of period piece in that regard.

It's still pretty creepy, though. Oh well, the game part itself is pretty decent.

I was scanning the list of his work and noticed this:

The Tower of Druaga (anime)

...and I said to myself, "There is an anime of this?!"

Craziness...

What's interesting is that in Custom's actual pr0n PC games, Chip is the mascot and has tons of pics, but she never actually strips.  All the sex is with other, older looking girls.

It's now very good tho'
The first parts of both seasons can be rather enjoyable but I think the later parts wasn't. Not a super memorable show anyhow...

Hey. I thought it was decent. Watched both seasons of it.
Reminds me of the current anime Sword Art Online, which is a much better show. Definitely check that one out. High-assly recommended.

Yeah, I saw both seasons too. I guess I can say it has extreme ups and downs, that show. Watching Sword Art Online with my friends and they quite enjoy it but I'm not really digging it. It's more polished and well done than Druaga, but I'm not really liking the characters as much and it gets depressing...and...well, I'm drama allergic
In some ways, Sword Art Online reminds me more of .Hack than Druaga, both good and bad.

SamIAm, there is no sexualization. All of that is in your imagination. underwear being exposed is common with skirts, dresses, falling pants,
low-cut genes, loose garments, cleets, etc. I am a guy an d when I wear shorts, my briefs are exposed for the world, to see. I see women and men, wearing those tight shorts with the loose sides, and you can see all the way to the edge of their legs. Imagination.

Also the art style is also ignorant. Back then the XXX section was their for a purpose but with the internet their is no XXX section whatsoever.

Next your going to tell, me that a pig or squid with panties, over ones head is wrong. What is the world coming to.

Huh, I had no idea. That's pretty cool. All the more reason for me to put some serious time into Chip-chan Kick sometime. Did Sakimoto do any other PC-FX games? Or are there any other well-known VGM composers who worked on PC-FX games?

There is one I know of. I discovered that Kenji Kawai was the composer for Team Innocent. He's done all kinds of amazing anime and other soundtracks, most notably Oshii's Ghost in the Shell, and his live action Avalon movie. Team Innocent was his only PC-FX game unfortunately but the music is quite awesome. It seems he is still working actively on big time movies and anime.

Found that Sakimoto actually doesn't composed music for any Custom games (translated from Japanese to English using Microsoft Translator).

Hi)

Sorry for the late reply.
My apologies, didn't composed music for any of games made by Custom. Iwata-san also left Basiscape before the appearance of Metal Orange.
You can contact YuDharma's Sound [ydlmzSound] and JKL Furukawa for more information I have no rights to.

Regarding,
Sakimoto Hitoshi

Also, found that in Teen visual novel, Yōsuka Chieftain (I'll say later what's up with her name) actually undressed herself... once (source: https://e-hentai.org/g/2092750/3d2848d21f/?p=2).

About the name: Chip-chan's actual name is Yōsuka Chieftain according to the data at Heroes Wiki, Chip-chan Pedia and Made-up Characters Wiki at Fandom. Also, the current CEO of Brinn-Dalmaz Precision (ex-MetroVG, who took over Custom), [insert-his-name-here], said that it's because Chieftain is the same as "Chip-chan" as the original creator Hirohiko Yanagi choosen name for her because he implied Yōsuka as a Leading character. Same for Chap-chan, her real name is S?ika Chaplygina. But Chap nickname was a deviation of her family name.
Same for Lord Walbit, his real name should be Sylvester Marciano as he actually looks more like Italian Mafioso on the steroids. Ariana Lare (the goddess in game) also should be mother for Yōsuka as said in the release notes.
