Hi everyone,
Recent recruit to the site, been collecting and modding console for long time and just got myself a PCE GT (and most other PCE systems!).
Was sold as fully working, and the screen is very good but when I plugged in headphones found I only had left channel.
Was back-n-forthing with the seller, they gave me some refund and I agreed to take care of it myself.
Anyway, I opened it up and it was a bit of a mess - partial cap replacement (including some strange additions). That wouldn't have been a problem, but several soldering pads were gone (and still electrolyte residue everywhere). Anyway, long story short I ended up fitting remote caps and kynar wiring them to the back of the board - the post here as very helpful:

Anyway, my question relates to the stereo - it sounds "not quite" stereo. For example with the Street Fighter 2 intro music, there are those drums at the end of the tune - they bounce left to right on my Core Graphx, but it doesn't sound stereo on the PCE GT with these changes (still 100 times better than Left only).
This is how I've soldered in my new caps:
So I guess my questions are:
1) Am i expecting too much from the stereo sound from PCE GT?
2) If it is wrong, can anyone point out the error in the points of soldered from?
Thanks,
