Oh no, I wasn't for a second suggesting that you are gouging! :)

Just that if you want a quick sale you will need to price it a little lower, otherwise just wait it out as although these are an incredibly popular item very few people actually purchase them due to the price.

Its not that your price is necessarily horrible, but if you want eBay prices then take it to eBay.

IMO the system it worth $750 or so, and I'm saying this as someone who doesn't have an LT and has wanted one for 20 years but never bought one because of the high price. One in the box with everything would be $1000-1100. This is a high price, but in no way is it overvalued IMO because it is such a rare piece of amazing gear. In fact, the LT seems to be the one PCE/Turbo related thing that hasn't seen an illogical price surge from eBay. People are paying $150 for Shuttles for f*cks sake! Clearly if a Shuttle is worth $150 then an LT is worth a grand.

The loose Strip Fighter II HuCard ads absolutely nothing to the lot. :)

When I was in the market for an LT, there were 2 of them on ebay at the time... One was CIB and the other was loose with SCD system and adapter. I bid on the loose one and won it for $600 while the CIB one ended around $700. I have never seen the LT adapter again and I certainly do not feel like the box is worth $100 (as well as the lack of SCD system) so I feel like I got the better deal. I've never seen the orange external bus cover before.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that pricing isn't relevant anymore.

I haven't seen any listed on ebay lately but the last loose ones I saw went for $600-$700 while CIB's went for around $1000.

thats all im saying. The prices i've seen suggested to me dont seem relevant. Aside from my research, i have asked around with people i know that are big on the pce scene and they said i was at the low end of what was being asked. try to go on ebay now (there has been a few lately) and they are all over $1000 except for the one with dead pixels on the display which is $950. I'm still cheaper with my fully functioning and recapped one than a damaged one.

About 2 years ago loose working LTs on ebay were around $500 and I remember one in particular that sold for less than $450 shipped on ebay.  This was from a pcefx member that listed it here for $400 shipped with no takers.

Well it doesn't matter what people list them for on eBay, they're not selling at their current prices so obviously pricing is too high given the limited demand. No point in stating that there's x number of LT's on eBay for y amount of dollars if none of them sell.

The GT's are also listed on eBay for stupid amounts, $200+ for loose ones with cap problems, they never sell. When one is auctioned it's funny to see what people are willing to bid, it's about 1/3 lower than most BIN prices, yet rarely do people take this into account when selling one.

Re this LT for sale here, $850 is not a bad price and it's nice that it's already been capped, but I still suspect it will take a while to sell at that price. Demand is limited due to very few people being in the position where they can justify spending such a large amount of cash on this hobby.

Speaking honestly, if I had the cash and were in the market for an LT I'd be looking for a better deal, it's a very significant one off purchase and if I'm going to lay down that amount of cash I'd want a box and original parts, even if it meant spending a few hundred more.

So if you're in no rush to sell, leave it at $850 and someone will bite eventually. If you want it gone ASAP price it at $600-$750, it's sure to sell quickly at that price.

honestly, i am in no hurry to sell this. I have explained more than once that my pricing reflects more than just ebay. The point of my little venture was to provide pricing that is better than anywhere you can get it now without going through the hassle of importing yourself. When i posted this item i was able to find 6 LT's for sale (4 on ebay and 2 elsewhere) all of which were/are more expensive than the one i have for offer. is some cases (more than just the specific one i have mentioned here) some were in worse condition than my own. My research also included more than one expert on the PCE. That is how i came to this price.

I am continually being told my price is too high with comparisons to prices 2 and 4 years ago by members that have shown no interest in the item. I have had interest at my price and am currently in talks with a couple of people on it. I have come here correctly and have not had a 'sellers attitude'. I started my little company so I can provide a better way to deal. I was tired of terrible sellers taking advantage of their customers and treating them like garbage (because where else are you going to go). I have had a lot of very good feedback on the sales I have made so far and how I conducted myself business-wise. My prices are based on lower than the current market value of 2012. not 2010 or 2008.

Is it too much to ask to get you guys to stop poisoning my thread with this? I feel I have been more than nice in interacting with you guys on this thread, but in the future please PM me your concerns. I will be happy to discuss it further in private, but this discussion as basically ensured that I wont be able to sell this item here. My LT thread has been pretty derailed by now. My goal was to be a friend to the communities, not to be put in a place that is destined to end poorly. Those that know me, know what I am all about. This isn't a $10 hucard. It is a major purchase. I wasn't expecting it to move in 4 minutes like my pcfx did.

Hey guys just wanna say I bought some stuff from cdamm and he was a great seller to deal with. There might be cheaper units on YJA but there is a lot more effort to get one of those units to you and you take a risk of getting a lemon plus this one has been recapped which I've never seen for sale like that.
If you are interested in buying something but don't like the price please send a seller an offer with a PM otherwise don't post, this is a sales thread not a price discussion thread.

I agree.  I met this seller in person at Octurbofest, and he seems to be a pretty nice guy.  I know that I wish that I had the funds to be able to purchase an LT, and if I did, then I would definitely be considering this one.  I was able to play this one for a few minutes at Octurbofest, and it seems to be a neat little part of Turbo history that unfortunately is rather pricey at the moment.  It's too bad that this can't be found for $100-200, but that's just the way it is.  I appreciate all of the input, but I do agree with PunkicCyborg
