Is their a such thing as a Tg 16 controller adapter for playing virtual console games on the Wii ??? I managed to find one for almost every other 80's-90's retro console but I haven't seemed to find any info on one for the tg 16 controller ??? It would be so great to be able to play the more expensive tg cd games on the Wii's virtual console with the real deal controller !!!
Finally playing these games I couldn't get my hands on back in 91' !!! Nec fan always !!!

That would be extremely cool.  Unfortunately, I've never heard of anything like that....

Perhaps a SNES/NES knockoff could be modded easily?  Maybe mod a PCE controller to output to NES and then get one of these?

Ah ha !! Very good JoshuaTurbo, that makes total sense .. I have one of those adapters and will do my research to see if it's possible or not .. I think I once ran across a tutorial on how to hard wire a Nes controller to a Tg 16's controller cable/plug to use it on a Tg 16 .. Maybe it could be modded the opposite way .. Thanks for the reply and help !!!

I belive it's this you were talking about:
http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/nes-to-pc-engine-controller-mod/

unfortunately, I don't think that would work...

I do have one idea though.
add a port to the NES controller (DB15, perhaps?) and then gut the TG controller and wire the traces to another jack, then use a cable to connect them?

a bit of a frankenstein solution, but I think it would work, the NES pad is easy enough to map out, and though it's been FOREVER since i've opened up a turbob pad, I think it wouldn't be too hard to find decent solder points.
the one downside i can see to this is maybe losing the turbo on the turbob controller.

Wow barte that's the exact tutorial I found on that mod !! You dudes most definitely are on top of your turbo research !! It's a damn shame that idea I mentioned on my last post wouldn't work .. Gonna look into trying out your idea barte .. That controller looks pretty close to a Tg16 one .. Thanks for the pic Duo_R .. I have one of those adapters and use original Nes controller already, but It just doesn't feel the same .. I'm just trying to get the closet feel to the real deal until I finally get my hands on a Duo .. If all else fails I will be looking into buying one of those Joycard Sansui sss controllers, the headphone jack and rapid fire are pretty pimp !! This site has got so many awesome people that have been helping me out with all my questions !!!

Sansui is made by Hudson Soft so it really has a Turbo feel to it. I modded one for a member here and they enjoyed it for use on PC Engine. So I would say would work nice for Wii.

Cool dude .. So most definitely I will be buying one of those controllers for my Tubrbografx 16 experience on my Wii if I can't seem to figure out how to mod a original Tg16 controller to work on my Wii .. Maybe if you have the free time to mod one of those controllers for me I can just send you one to hook it up for me .. I didn't even know it was made by Hudson ..

Thank you for all the informative knowledge !!!

you bet, I really think best route will be to just obtain the NES to Wii adapter, pretty cheap and painless. I have been meaning to do this myself but been lazy and also wondering if I will be playing Turbo stuff on Wii long term. I suppose it probably be a good idea since I have the brew channel on my Wii.

I can't believe we were cheated out of a headphone jack built into the pad. That is such a friggin' brilliant idea.

The rapid fire was top notch as well.  Track & Field was a breeze even against friends with other rapid fire controllers.

Hoobs88 has a custom modded Sansui controller for Turbo Duo. Including the headphone jack (modded to work with Duo). I always wanted to make one for myself but never had time. Yes it is a brilliant idea! This controller is gold, need to get more of them.
