Privacy laws? I suppose it would be different if it was a camera owned/operated by the government. But still, it doesn't really make me feel at ease. A cctv camera should be there for peoples safety/ to keep an eye on property, not for entertainment.

Anyway, I should get off this subject. Most people just don't seem to  agree with me on the net, maybe just on video game forums :)

As a matter of fact, some band in the UK the get out clause made a music video by performing in public and then requesting copies thru the UK's freedom of information act.

Privacy laws?

Security cameras are not allowed where people are afforded privacy, such as in bathrooms or hotel rooms, but this recording was made in a public place where no reasonable person could have an expectation of privacy.  Of course, that just means that distributing such footage is legal; whether or not it is ethical is open to debate.

True, necro. I actually think EVERYONE should own the rights to their own image, because of journalism (I believe) this is not the case. People will talk about freedom, but someones so called freedom always impacts on someone else. Because of the net and digital photography, you never know, in the future it could happen. I suppose it is possible. Photos are not just for private use anymore, more often than not, they are distributed on the web.

Sorry for going off subject.

Here some w.a.s.p...

edit-I know in Paris recently some laws have been passed to restrict street photography (not sure exactly what, but am trying to see If i can find out..)

I think it would be funny as hell if a modern band did a music video like that.

Damn Swedish people.  Oh well, at least it's better than what they wrought upon the world with ABBA.

Hey, don't be so hard on the Swedes. I'd take ABBA any day over Nickelback (Canada) or Backstreetboys (US). Bands should only be allowed to sell records or tour if they meet the approval of the U.N.

Not on YouTube but Myspace TV. Crappy mash up I made combining Terry Tate office Linebacker and the Ninja hallucination scene from "Sidekicks".
