Yeah, he blames the mouse (emulation on computer), but it really limits how great a comparison like this could be. For example, with more effort, the comparison could be AMAZING:

(1) Show me how (if) each version has special weapons (I want to see a missile take out a helicopter).
(2) I want snowfields and ice!
(3) Examine the enemy AI behavior (for example, the ZX Spectrum was hilarious because 99% of the cars destroyed were crashing themselves!
(4) I don't remember being able to blow up the special-weapon truck in the arcade version, was it possible? Regardless, I was never this stupid and loved using the special weapons.

I played Spy Hunter a lot at the arcade back in the day, but the NES version was pretty darn good (IMHO) for the time.

Yes, you get it by maxing out the score.  Quite easy to do really if you abuse the save feature.
Alien Crush also has an ending if you max the score, but it's very simple, just says "Congratulations".
  And is much harder to achieve (on real hardware anyways).
